@Royalblues Those usual suspects should do us all a favour and just change their profile pictures of themselves making love to their PS5. That way it'll be easier to know who should get banned.
Back on subject, however. This is great news for xbox. But let's be real, it's cloud gaming where they're looking to dominate and with all these Japanese games coming to gamepass and their new relationship with Sega, I can very much see the headlines of success
Which brings me to my other point. I was reading the other day about MS and Sega forming an alliance over Azure, and it became instantly catnip to the trolls. They were so quick to say it meant nothing and that game pass wouldn't benefit. A day later, total war is coming to gamepass.
Anyway, that's my thoughts. Back to avoiding you lot like the plague lol
I'm absorbed in Sable. I just managed to get a new mask, discovered a village inside the husk of a giant beast, got lost several times, and say by a bonfire as I pondered where to explore next. It's a lovely game, really chills me out in between other games.
The other game in playing is Aragami 2. Y'know, it reminds me of the old school stealth games like Tenchu, or Styx. It's always ironically appropriate that stealth games other than MGS and SplinterCell, are often under the radar, yet their gems in their own right. Aragami reminds me a lot of the first Tenchu game, which did you know that the black fog organised in tenchu was so that you couldn't see the map render in, due to the limitations of the machines at the time. Yet it created that eerie atmosphere which made the game all the better.
Here's the thing, PlayStation utilised many studios in making their games and nobody batters an eye, when Xbox does it, the alarmists pour out and begin their incessant questioning and speculations "is this game in trouble, are Xbox failing?" As if this singular slice of news which shouldn't really be news has somehow dissolved all the other games and progress Xbox has already made. We can shout Avengers till we're red in the face but let's not pretend tomb raider wasn't amazing because it was, and let's not act like they're hasn't been a pandemic because their has, and let's not pretend the general narrative is almost always bias to Sony because it is. Perfect Dark is just one game of many in development and they can't all be oven ready, besides going by the consensus of those who are critical of this development it seems perfect Dark isn't even a worthy title, or even a good game, so why bother even getting your pants twisted over this, ahem, " news".
Honestly this is clearly being used as fodder for more negativity and needless criticisms by those who know NOTHING about the gaming industry or what it takes to make a game.
Frankly I'm tired of this saga. First it was Halo, but seems Halo are doing okay so look, over there, Perfect Dark time.
So the reason for the delay was because these were included? And people jumped the gun saying it's because they were incompetent and unprepared. I'm starting to think there are some people out there aching for this to flop, dreaming up those huge scenario where 343 are flapping about and screaming over each other as the studio burns. Halo will be radical!
I don't see an issue here. And of course it's in early development. Most CGI trailers are more like job advertisements for game developers etc. You know for a fact Wolverine is no where near done. Under a CGI trailer I see a 5 year window until release. Friendliest mean Xbox got no games coming out next year. There will be more to come, more trailers and more gameplay.
@SplooshDmg what do you mean explore!? How dare you not have any guns in this game. I demand shooty patooty and a radar and a tank. I want a tank. No tanks, 0/10 😂😂😂 imagine if people like the Metro critic was in charge of video games
@Dezzy70 I've gotta disagree there, but I respect your opinion and You have a valid reason to have it. I think Game pass alone is incredibly impressive with Sable, Aragami 2, Back 4 Blood (soon) Pscyhonaughts 2, Forza, Bethesda titles, I could go on but I wont. However, game pass is also on PC, so I understand whether won't translate to a Xbox entirely. Xbox has some heavy hitters coming but they're a bit slow on the uptake, Sony have mastered exclusives and Xbox are just now getting serious. By 2022 to 2023 I think the gaming community are going to be spoilt. Redfall, Starfield, Forza, Halo (maybe lol) Stalker, Scorn, Crossfire X, the gunk, replaced, Outerworld 2, Wolfienstein 3 (I'm throwing that in as a bet haha) and more.
Game pass is what fills the gaps in between and it seriously is stupidly good. These past few months have delivered a massive variety of games, and next month We have Back 4 Blood.
I know, Sony have shown more gameplay than Xbox has, I honestly just think that's down to showmanship. Sony knows how to put on a show and promote. Xbox isn't that confident, but that'll change. Let's come back to this thread on a year from now 😊 if I'm wrong, I'll eat my series X haha
@SplooshDmg completely agree. It feels very old school in that fashion, nothing holding your hand as you explore for the things you need to accomplish a goal. It's a genuine experience, I'm already thinking "if I can't sleep tonight I'll go for a ride in Sable"
@Hellosmoothskin Maybe try getting your head out of your bum and you might not hear so many farts. Nobody is debating whether the game will be awesome, simply commenting on the lack of campaign footage which, to be fair, should worry any Halo fan or otherwise.
@UltimateOtaku91 it would be weird...Yet I wouldn't be surprised. You can tell I'm a !massive Xbox fan, don't get me wrong, I'll get a Playstation 5 one day, started saving already so I can buy it and all the exclusives (looking at 2023 maybe) but halo is honestly starting to be a joke for the Xbox brand. Multilayer is great, sure. Campaign is important, especially seeing as we have to wait for co-op. I'm with Dezzy, delay the game till March or something. Makes.more sense
@Dezzy70 I think you're right about their initial release of campaign footage. There definitely nervous. It's a massive shame because Xbox has some awesome games coming out, even Starfield showed a little something and that's got quite some time to go. It makes no sense Halo won't reveal more campaign, I mean, in all honesty it's a game pass title so most of the fan base are gonna be forgiving about some hiccups here and there, but to fully turns the lights out does make me a tad worried. I agree about your point of delaying it, as well. March would be a healthier release date, and would see Xbox on the stage alongside PlayStation. If they did that they could advertise Redfall, Halo, Starfield and whatever game is coming out next year (Cross fire or Scorn maybe)
@UltimateOtaku91 @Dezzy70 You both raise valid points. I wanna defend it and say you're wrong but...you might not be. let's wait and see. I do think campaign will certainly have improved graphics for Series X. Y'know, if there is a campaign 😐
@SplooshDmg Reminds me exactly how I felt when I played Morrowind for the first time. Sable is incredibly charming, it's a joy to get lost in. Maybe one of favourite games this year
@Fiendish-Beaver Is that out today!? Dammit. I got Sable, Aragami, Walking dead tell tell series, and Generation Zero all On the cooker. Can I fit another game? Haha probably not but...Maybe 😂
Playing sable now and it has a few hiccups but ultimately it's a really nice game, has a chill hop vibe to it, with a mixture of Nintendo-ish gameplay. It strikes a nostalgic chord. Honestly when combining this sort of game and Aragami 2, you kind of feel like you're playing old school games with a better lick of paint, it's really nice and different and gives a satisfying breather in between more heavier games. As for sable, it has a 2am sensation about it, does that make sense? Improbably doesn't. It's worth playing though. It really grows on you.
@WallyWest I find with Series X and PS5 games not a blog of bugs exist on many games, as opposed to Xbox one and PS4. Another good reason to invest into this generation of consoles
@Dezzy70 I want to say you're talking crazy talk but...I have the same fear. I think October to November should be ripe for promoting the campaign. If we hear nothing by then, then I would assume it's a safe bet it's getting delayed
@Old-Red it is what it is. I'm bummed i.can't play Spider man or Wolverine or God of war. Maybe I'll get a PS5 one day. Maybe People who want to play Staefield etc will buy a Series X, or PC.
@Hellosmoothskin We don't know for certain that Redfall will be out 2022, though it is slated for that date roughly. But I agree, game pass members have a lot to be excited for, Starfield on its own is a gem, but to get Deathloop and ghost wire tokyo, and then maybe Redfall. I think we'll get more games from under the Bethesda umbrella in 2022
I remember playing Morrowind, stopping to check for any hints on the internet and google being google shoved the whole thing about Xbox buying Bethesda in my face. I was a very happy dude
@StonyKL What console was you playing Fallout 4 on? I've hardly ran into any bugs. I'm currently playing it now. Arkane and machine games rarely release a buggy title not to mention the other studios attached to Bethesda. You have to remember that Bethesda is an umbrella, and under than umbrella are highly rated games by highly rated talented people. I don't see your point. Not to sound argumentative just pointing out that, of all the studios, only one is known to have bugs.
@PapaGlitch From reading back, it seems like there are a few here who want to criticise and debate, and that's okay, but considering it's mainly a Xbox fan site there will always be Xbox fans wanting to defend the thing they enjoy. The question is, do any of these Xbox fans visit the other sites and do the same? If not, then it's slightly clearer who antagonises whl
@Widey85 There's no point in trying to have a conversation with him. Contexualism applies here and unfortunately he's invented a narrative which resonates with his personal perspective of reality and to challenge anything he says, to even illustrate how using terms like Elitism whilst exhibiting elitist behavioural traits of his own, will only force a stronger deflection derivative of cognitive dissonance and selective dogma.

Redfall
Deathloop
Ghost wire
Starfield
