@Sveakungen Why would it be worse if the deal didn't go through? If it doesn't go through then everything stays the same as its always been.

Hopefully the deal won't go through. I love PlayStation and I don't want to see PlayStation go away. So obviously I'm in favour of this deal not going through.

If Sony say they're lagging behind then there's an easy answer to that, do the day one releases and put there exclusives onto PS Plus day one then.

How are they behind when PS Plus has around 50 million subscribers? PS Plus does have more subscribers than Game Pass. Also, how would Sony know how many Game Pass subscribers there are?

Phil: "We think COD will remain on PlayStation"? Why can't he just say, "it will remain on PlayStation"? We think is not guaranteed.

I do wonder whether part of the reason FF7 Remake hasn't come to Xbox is because of the Series S? I wonder if it's because the Series S would be holding it back and we do know that the Series S is a requirement when games come to Xbox.

Regardless of what you think of Sony's games, they are best in class at making this particular style of movie games that PlayStation fans love. The same can be said for Nintendo when it comes to them releasing games their fans love. Microsoft has left Xbox fans out to dry with mediocre game after mediocre game...(w/ the exception of Forza)
I personally don't think any Xbox fan being honest can actually say they have been satisfied with Microsoft's output this generation and the later half of last generation, especially compared to what Sony and Nintendo have delivered.

@Doublecell Exactly, there games are too good to just throw on a subscription service. And if throwing them on a subscription service diminishes quality like they have said already, I'm sure most people don't want that.

This is the reason why Sony won't do it, because there smart enough to know this.

@Tharsman Maybe I should of been more specific, PlayStation has always lead in terms of fanbase, success, the console that's the more go to console for most people.

@Tharsman I can see why, Skyrim and Starfield are quite similar. If you like Skyrim then Starfield should be good.

@Sol4ris It's not an opinion though is it? I mean, most people know this it's what PlayStation is known for and we all can't be wrong can we for it to be known as just one person's opinion.

I don't see why Sony couldn't buy the studio but allow Kojima to still be independent? That's what Sony did with Bungie.

@Techno92LFC Agreed, never understood this. Microsoft are supposed to be competing against Sony and here they are complimenting them. I don't blame them though, they know it themselves that no one makes games like Sony and PlayStation does. They know they can't compete with them in that way.

Like I've said a million times, Xbox will forever walk in the shadows of PlayStation, they have done from day 1.

Hopefully things will change in 2023, it does look like 2023 is going to be one of the best years in gaming for a long time.

It's because Game Pass doesn't have those AAA games. It doesn't matter how many games you put onto Game Pass, if the games aren't good then it makes no difference.

Maybe once the ABK deal goes through it will change all of this.

@Tharsman I've never heard of anyone who has Xbox but doesn't have Game Pass? Why wouldn't you have Game Pass if you have a £450 console? Xbox and Game Pass go hand in hand.

I'm guessing that this is where Microsoft will slowly drop the Xbox Console since Phil said about how Game Pass subscriptions on Xbox have hit a wall but PC Game Pass numbers are growing however. Maybe they'll shift to PC entirely.

I wish they would say how many Game Pass subscribers they have now? Last we heard was 25 million I believe.

@UltimateOtaku91 It's strange isn't it? Sony offers you more and the best with Extra than Premium, how does that work? It's backwards to be honest. You would think they would offer you more and the best for Premium since its "Premium" and you're paying a "Premium" price.

I actually agree here, I feel this is something Sony could do but they won't.

Now it's public opinion this is where every PlayStation fan will advice about stopping this.

The biggest mistake Microsoft ever did with Series S is give it lower specs than the Series X. They should of did what Sony did with PS5, give it same specs as Series X but no disc drive.

I never saw it mentioned that its exclusive for 12 months, it just said PS5 exclusive and that's it.

Why the hell would Sony want Game Pass on PlayStation and give Microsoft a helping hand? They compete against each other, Sony don't owe Microsoft that. PlayStation is a PlayStation, not a PlayStation and Xbox in one.

"Including PlayStation", we all know that in the end Microsoft will make COD Xbox only. You don't pay 70 billion dollars to keep the game on all platforms.

I always knew it would eventually fail because streaming isn't the future like people think it is. If you want evidence that it's not the future, this is the evidence.

@Banjo- Exactly, Sony restricts third-party games and invest their biggest budget on moneyhatting independent companies to hurt Xbox and Game Pass.

All of that is just a myth. It's not Sony paying developers or 3rd party to keep games from Xbox, it's the developers themselves that don't want the games on Xbox because there not keen on Xbox. Look at FF7 Remake for example, it's not Sony as to why it's not on Xbox, it's because Square Enix aren't keen on Xbox because there games just don't sell on Xbox. Plus there relationship with Sony is far greater than Microsoft.

I rated it an F, worse TGS in history. There was no better opportunity for Microsoft to do what people have asked for over 2 years now and bring FF7 Remake to Xbox.
