@BoredOfEverything So if they didn't engage on Gamepass they obviously didn't rate the game highly,difference is it will have far more people who play it over time it dosen't have to be played day one and it won't leave Gamepass, in fact it won't be long before The Outer Worlds 2 goes to Gamepass Premium so a whole new audience.

Each year since 2020, Sony has sold millions of 'Fewer' copies of the games it has developed and/or published for its PlayStation consoles with a small uptick with release of Yotei.
Why not blame that on PS Premium giving people other options rather than paying full price just for one game.

the games by paying for Ultimate Gamepass that is how subscriptions work, this applies far more now they recently stopped the unbelievably generous conversion rates they allowed for years practically giving you a year's Ultimate Gamepass for the price of an indie game.

@Millionski Sony have been doing exactly the same. In fact I wouldn't mind betting in the next few months they will have announcements, Saros flopped, Marathon is a flop, the God of War Sons of Sparta: was a terrible flop, and Sony recently announcing first-party game sales peaked during the 2020 pandemic and went down ever since with only Yotei picking up.

Ask Sony owners what exclusivity offers the PS5, as they were very happy when just 'Old' PS5 exclusives were no longer even going to PC.

Sony has hardly First Party AAA exclusive games especially new IPs for next year(and beyond) and Helix is getting closer.
It's going to take Sony years to recover (Development wise) from their Concord etc disaster, Sony cancelled multiple in-development live-service titles across major PlayStation developers.

Getting ready for Helix, obviously want a line up exclusives ready for that as well as day one exclusives.

Changing their mind about PS5 getting a lot of Xbox exclusives, just like Sony did with PC, can't see a problem with that.

Gamepass the best deal in gaming.

@anoyonmus You know that is One more First Party AAA current gen exclusive game than Sony have been releasing most years on PS5 for years now.

Will the others be on PS Premium like Ultimate Gamepass or will you have to pay for each one as well as the subscription ?

The big winners here are people with Ultimate Gamepass, so many quality Games coming to Ultimate Day One.

Not forgetting the amount of "Play Anywhere" titles, one version Free if you decide to buy either the Xbox or PC version of the games.

@AI-Generation Difference is all you read about the PS6 was a rumour, this is actually coming from the CEO of Xbox she has to be cautious, rumours don't.

Obviously some exclusives released with Helix, but otherwise timed exclusives are fine, some of that Sony money will probably go towards more First Party games which of course benefits Ultimate Gamepass.

Microsoft should pay for exclusivity on some big 3rd party titles to stop Sony doing it first, Sony must currently be in very a crappy position regarding Fist Party AAA exclusives after their disastrous Live service games being cancelled, thereby putting all those studios back years before they get out any new big games.
