This is great but what we REALLY need is a 60fps update for Ghost Recon: Wildlands.

@fatpunkslim all salient points, and to clarify, of course we all expect the PS6 to sell gangbusters, but the reason for that being exclusives is just not true. It's the same thing PC guys said about the Xbox One back in 2016; why should I buy your console if I can get a superior version of your games on my PC? Think about how many console sales they lost out on because you didn't need a One to play stuff like Gears 4 and Halo MCC. The same thing is gonna happen to Sony, albeit on a smaller scale since they have such a dedicated fan base that will pay almost any price for the hardware.

@EVIL-C the point is, I and many others won't need a PS6 since they don't have exclusives anymore. YOU might still want one, but if the difference between an underpowered-on-day one-console and a more powerful PC is like $300-$500....why would anyone else except hardcore console players bite on that?

@EVIL-C Sony doesn't have exclusives anymore. They're all on PC or Xbox. There's no such thing as "console exclusives" either. Either it's exclusive or it's not. That's what Sony Ponies on forums across the internet told Xbox owners when MS started putting games on PC back in 2016, and I'm going to hold them to that logic in 2026. If I can play Death Stranding 2 or Helldivers 2 on an Xbox or a PC, I don't need a PlayStation 5. And nobody is buying a whole system to play Ghost Of NoBuy I MEAN Yotei.

@dskatter the PS6 is absolutely going to be $800 AT MINIMUM. I'm betting it'll be close to $1000, personally.

$1000, possibly more. If they can promise without any compromises that it can run ANY game at 80-120fps and either 4K or close to it. And when I say any game, I mean ANY GAME. Not just AA/indie games. The AAA heavy hitters as well.

Finally got around to Resident Evil 4 remake. So good. Also just 100% completed Helldivers 2, and I gotta say, Sony could have kept that one. For all the hype, it was as soulless and hollow a game I have played in a while. Fun in short bursts but quickly wears out its welcome.

Sounds like a bunch of Sony Ponies made up some garbage on social media, it spread like wildfire, and the public believed it without verifying a single source because ECKBOK BAAAAAD. Pro tip: any time you hear negative Xbox news, it's coming from a PlayStation fangirl Discord where they literally strategically plan out narratives to bash Xbox with. I'm not joking. Guys like Reforge, Dreamcast Guy, PuertoRock, D Batch, etc. They live to hate Xbox. It's their entire reason for existing.

$107 is still way too rich for my blood. The games aren't good enough to justify paying that amount anyway. If it was $50 I'd probably bite.

I liked AlienS more though.

@Gabrie the only thing that would make it better would be an 8+ inch screen and OLED. I'd have paid an extra $100 for that.

I don't know if I like the sound of free online. The paywall keeps a ton of cheaters out and subsidizes the security MS provides for your personal information and credit card numbers. This is a monkey paw curling situation brewing if you ask me. I'd rather pay a few bucks for extra protection instead of being a cheap ass penny pincher.

Fallout 4 was just so boring to me, man. I'd much rather have a remaster of 3. I may actually jump into 76 next year with this upgrade, heard good things about it and that it's much improved after the rocky start all those years ago.

Very sad news. If it wasn't for Ninja Gaiden and Knights Of The Old Republic, I wouldn't have ever become an Xbox supporter. Itagaki-san played a huge role in that. Rest in peace, friend.

@WildConcept6 that's the funniest thing about the PlayStation console sales angle. Sure, there's a ton of PlayStation owners out there. Do you know what they're playing? FTP slop. That's all they're playing. Apex, Fortnite, GTA Online, Warzone, etc. The only games they pay for are sports garbage like Madden, FIFA, NBA 2K. The exclusives they love to brag about don't sell nearly enough to justify the production costs in this economy. Helldivers 2 sold WAY more on Xbox in it's first week than it did on PlayStation. The hatred from the Sony Zealots is out of control. I have never seen it this bad before. They've been at war with Xbox since 2013 but this is next level stuff I'm seeing. I think Xbox getting a handheld PC and getting Helldivers 2 really pushed them over the edge. They are running amok on social media and Reddit forums with unsubstantiated claims and outright lies.

The insane thing is they want Xbox to die so bad, they don't even care what that would mean for the future of console gaming. Sony is already charging $750 for a meager upgrade from the base PlayStation 5 while Microsoft is still here. Imagine what they'll do when they don't have any competition at all. PlayStation 6 would very likely be over $1000 if that were the case. And it still wouldn't be able to run UE5 games at 60fps.

@TrevorP86 it's pretty annoying. You come to an Xbox site hoping to escape the negative madness permeating the internet, and you're met with even more cynicism and cheeky commentary. 😂 There's just no escape. If the next Xbox is $1000 or whatever, you can bet the PS6 won't be too far behind in pricing anyway. We all have two years to prepare for an expensive gaming future. Best to start building up that nest egg.

Absolutely love how Xbox gives Sony all their games like a video game Santa Claus while they give us Helldivers 2 and keep everything else. Wolverine, Nioh 3, Saros, all on PlayStation only. 👎

These movie-type trailers don't do anything for me. Anyone with talent can make a teaser trailer look enticing. I need to see real time gameplay.

Hot take: Aliens: Colonial Marines was a fun game. I played it with a buddy and we had a great time. Even the multiplayer was fun. Even got every achievement including the DLC.

I just don't understand why people cheap out on a console experience anyway. I would just wait and save up another $150-$200 to get the best bang for your buck. It's not like the Series X was $500 more or something.

If this game runs at 30fps I'm going to be extremely disappointed. Looks great otherwise.

This is one of those games I'd definitely pick up on a deep sale, throw it in the backlog, and eventually get around to it when I have literally nothing I really want to play.

It's Ultimate Edition with a new coat of paint, and a healthy PvP population now that we have PlayStation guys on there. I just question how long they'll stick around once they see how brutal Gears can be, when you go up against really good players it's incredibly oppressive and it feels like there's literally nothing you can do.

The player count is gonna explode even higher next week when the new content drop releases. What a win for Xbox, what a win for Sony, what a win for gamers. This effectively kills all Sony fanatics "Xbots don't buy games!!" argument forever. Xbox players not only buy games, we play the ***** out of them.

Looks beautiful, plays beautifully, and now comes with the added bonus of being able to chainsaw PlayStation players. 😈 What's not to like?

Microsoft refuses to remake 2 and 3 for some reason. THOSE are the two games I really want to complete all over again.

@VeganH but you can't play your laptop on a plane, train, or long car ride. Every PC handheld is in this price range.

Yes. I'm even getting the Ally X. It's not for everyone, though. Biggest reason I'm getting it is because I travel a lot for work and I would love to get some games that have PC version achievement stacks while I have some down time. Plus it just looks aesthetically pleasing and I'm an early adopter anyway.
