Anyone fancy a new Alien game on Xbox?!

Well, we're getting the surprise release of Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition on September 30th for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, marking the first time this game has ever been available on an Xbox console.

The reason it's never been available before is because Alien: Rogue Incursion was originally a VR game, releasing for the PSVR2 (on PS5) along with PC and eventually the Meta Quest 3 back in late 2024 and early 2025. This new "Evolved Edition" has turned the game into a flatscreen experience, meaning it can finally arrive on Xbox!

That means we're not going to read too much into the Metacritic score of 74 for PS5 and 78 for PC, as that only references the VR version - and we imagine the new Evolved Edition is going to play quite differently.

It's worth noting that the development team is calling this "Part One" of Alien: Rogue Incursion, meaning a "Part Two" is obviously on the way in the future, and the narrative in this first part is said to "stand alone as a complete story yet leave you hanging on a thrilling cliffhanger".

If you're interested, we'll throw more details about the game down below, and it's available to pre-order now on the Xbox Store at a price of £24.99 / $29.99 - or a little bit more if you want to pick up the Deluxe Edition with extra goodies.

Play as rogue Colonial Marine Zula Hendricks in the terrifying first chapter of a two-part saga set between the Alien and Aliens films. Sent to investigate a distress call on the remote planet Purdan, Zula uncovers a secret Weyland-Yutani blacksite overrun by deadly Xenomorphs.

Rebuilt for Xbox with stunning visuals, 60 fps, 3D audio, haptic feedback, and adaptive triggers, Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition delivers a cinematic action experience that makes you truly feel like you’re inside the world of Alien.
