@MinervaX76 true to an extent, I dropped on part due to the price hike. Howverver I always wanted to drop the price hike was def a catalyst though.

I have a rog ally so using pc game pass has all the same game at a much low price but still had to drop on principle and worth while availability. (I finish most game I want to try)

Obviously the masers are signed up to game pass that why we just read they have 30 million subs but was expecting over 70 million. Not really sure what your point is other than possibly the single month subs are a much larger figure than expected or than you think. Who know can you provide references for these details?

Like that’s the point of single month subs and no discount on annuals, you can literally come and go one month Xbox go next ps extraz think maybe you just don’t switch things up enough lad. Yep because a few suites sat around in a meeting room but it was probable had tvs and a few gadgets so their cools as ***** dude & chicks so while they discuss future plans they activate Sparta mode and say ok so we will obvs have x number of cloud first gamers or console will sell well even though we just restricted this gen with a ***** series s.

Awww lol, honestly when did Xbox become so bipolar. It’s been a crazy journey watching Xbox navigate a bad gen for itself. It’s gone form my tv controller being an Xbox to you can’t play gear of war anywhere but what we consider tto be an Xbox. Xbox mental status seems worse than my ex girlfriend.

I have the z1 extreme it’s great and can hold out for a few years. The Xbox ally looks great but at £850 it’s just a little steep for a console.

@Weebleman I think you are assuming that because I’ve mentioned 3 game names they are the only games on gamepass. Suggestion use some common sense a little intellect and realise that you could substitute the games I’ve mentioned for the games you would play!

Gamepass on average save me £50-80 per month, for games I no longer will check out during sales etc.

For £22 you could sub to game pass and play avowed, cod a handful of indies and some other AAA. That would cost considerably more outside of a gamepass subscription z

@Questionable_Duck No but you need to lay the ground work to meet your future goals, countries like Barzil can just pay more then. While countries like USA and Uk can benefit from the App simple as, we don’t need to care about each country equally for no reason. Win win for Microsoft win for us or uk or any citizen when cloud is avaliable, unlucky for Brazil etc until they get with the times.

Eventually gamepass will be an app on tvs for streaming that is the intention.

Only shareholders would think activision games would increase gamepass sub.

COD has two audiences the online guys who play year round (they obviously buy it) then the campaigners who now found out they could play it with their existing gamepass sub.

Microsoft acquisition of activision and the estimated 300mill lost is Microsoft subsidising every campaign only player, who don’t carelesss about cod after 6 hours. Cheers Ms

@Scrubchub My rog ally’s become my number 1 to be honest. It’s awesome! Use to love pc gaming back in the day & gameboys so these things are basically my dream come true.

I use pc gamepass which has only increased in price from £10-£13.49 so it’s not too bad to be honest, though I’ve been saving some games it cannot run for the console and unlimited this winter. I had a hunch I should sub sooner and play them and it wasn’t just a hunch as it’s now on costing me £7 extra each month on console.

I think you mean the devil made it modular & giving Microsoft ideas. While the devil makes the prices seem nice, ms comes along and rapes you while you sleep! I have proof it happened only a few days ago!!

Basically we no longer have 10% discount but we earn credit for our purchases and the amount we earn varies from x2-x4 with premium or unlimited.

To be honest if I’m playing a game for ‘free’ and don’t own it, I rarely pay for add on content for a game that could leave gamepass and then own content I literally cannot use. Pointless. Most of the dlcs are just cut content anyways. Play the base and move on I say, way too many games exists and will be about to exists to be attaching to some game like a leech just so we can play 5/10 content half the time. (This is especially true with Microsoft games, there good but I want to say generic butrelaly their just not special like ps4 last gen.

@Scrubchub I have the rog ally pc gaming a great, especially handheld, To be honest I was thinking PlayStation plus extra had never looked so attractive, I might dust off the old ps4 and look into a new ps5 over the holidays.

So playing a game on gamepass now required extensive research as to which tier will provide me access. It’s like they want to complicate the process so much they alienate their customer, I mean 90% of these games are only a couple $ at the local GameStop or cex guys!!

It’s been nerfed in the UK for me, login via app was only 2 points for example.

Literally just played through the trilogy so great timing, just need Osiris to drop in the next few months.

I would want the Xbox ally x model at £800. There’s enough games to play on the current device at the moment so might as well wait for sales in a year or two. I also want the switch 2 and need to repair the ps5 so I have an expensive 12-18 months ahead.

If it works on the old rog and they do not update it appropriately then I’m going to wait to buy the Xbox ally until it’s discounted.

For example the rog was like 800 but came down to 500 eventually. Just wait guys you have a backlog of games that the rog can run just fine.

For ps and pc it’s kind of like 8 year of early access with 2 prices tag so far, once the final releases a 3rd pride tag. Oh then there will be the inevitable directors cut with all 3 games at some absolute crazy price. End of the day until the remaster we’ve paid 3/4 times to play then replay final fantasy 7 remake. What a marketing strategy.

I’m giving Xbox a chance this gen, but the moment I’m like oh go on Xbox are not going to cause the apocalypse, they go and pull a stunt like this and all faith is lost. They just need to cut Microsoft reward point next and I’m straight back to ps5 and switch.

I think XBOX on PC officially but the logo should be XBOX PC.

That said a new name would be better but nothing really makes sense other than keeping it simple.

While I understand the comment, I disagree. Toward the end of the ps4/xbox one era gaming graphics etc and overall development time inflated significantly. To compensate many studio and publisher etc employed huge workforces.

I think between Ai and scaling back on gaming quality and scope, they are now reducing the overall workforces unfortunately every publisher or studio with money and big games seem to be affected by this. I basically don’t think it don’t to just extra cost etc.

Why would we think oh I’ve got the game on gamepass for no extra expense, let’s buy an add on?

Microsoft / Xbox always came across like the kind of company to do this. They act all nice and in it for the players with gamepass but as many have suspected have ulterior motives, like who put code in a first party physical. No one that’s who’s except Xbox.

Gamepass all the way on these two game peeps, dont boycott just get your moneys worth and bolt. Also be aware Xbox will be clamping down and back on gamepass soon their moving to the next stage of the plan lads…

Let not forget how clunky and weird Unreal Engine 5 is. How it runs terribly on handhelds and asus still haven't fixed the global illumination iss on them.

Considering cyberpunk them using unreal engine make me worry for this games. That said I likely won’t play it for 15 years I found the Witcher 3 to be quite a slog as I never read the book and it wasn’t really that good. Rose tinted glasses and beer deluxe people it seems.

The issue with this guys statement is it provides excuses. Sure they had issue for an Indie studio and an indie game no one expects a physical for.

That said publishers have the know how for this etc and it’s not an excuse to excuse physical in many occasions.

Let’s not forget in many areas eBay, cex, GameStop etc exist where a large proportion can trade games in, shareholders exec etc would probs like this to stop.

@somnambulance they really just want to know first impressions and by the sounds of it your quite enjoying it so far. For me it starts out a 10 but I have it a 9 due to a free fire bug which seems like an oversight and it’s annoying.

(Free fire as in when you need to shoot during explorations it’s broken for a few people me included, on ps5/xbox and handhelds) seems fine on pc)

How is the quality of the games though, for example Avowed felt like it had great graphics but otherwise quite generic or should i give it another chance?

That said clair Obscur look great and south of midnight was a good adventure game but again SOM felt a little to safe or limited in content?

Xbox can’t even release ‘Gold’ games in 2025 so far behind in development they have incomplete last gen games for gamepass in 2025. wtf.

Just like avowed it looks generic and just like 33Immortals it’s a half baked incomplete game.

Meanwhile Sony wanted to make the next Fortnite and spend all their money on flops. Can anyone name a decent first party ps5 game?
