Re: Redfall Requires 'Persistent' Online Connection Even In Single-Player

LordFunkalot

To all those saying it’s no big deal just wait until the Arcane server gets hacked, goes down or has scheduled maintenance when you want to play the game you paid good money for. Why do they do this for the single player campaign, I know it’s to prevent cheating and piracy etc but those sorts of people always find a workaround and it ends up stinging the rest of us for no reason. Really hope they go back on this like back 4 blood did.

Re: Xbox Exclusive Starfield Is Apparently 'Playable In Full From Start To Finish'

As an active gamer in my 40s with the same passion I had from day one, without sounding like an old man it was better in my day etc. I fully understand the gaming landscape, technologies, complexities and game development has drastically changed. Something I am thankful for as it has brought us some classics over the years and will do in the future - I would say tho, with day one patches/releases in questionable states, it dulls my excitement for games releases. Case in point Dead Space; just come out, I was looking really forward to it but still wasn’t sure until I had seen a good few trusted reviews. Jedi fallen survivor, Hogwarts legacy both look good but will they be ok day one? Have to wait and see. Back in the day you just dropped the money and what was there was what you got, this wasn’t a thing and it made it a bit more fun. Games are still enjoyable to me and I still get excited (Redfall and Starfield - please be good) just not as much as back before all this patching

Re: Redfall 'Deluxe Upgrade' Leak Gives Us First Evidence Of Xbox Price Increases

£70 is a lot for a game, forgetting game pass for something like Forza Horizon 5, Halo infinite it would be worth it in my opinion for what the games content is out of the box. But for games like dead space remake it really makes me hesitant to buy them
Day as those sort of games are more of a 1 and done. They should have just left it at £60. This could damage the industry in the long term and stifle creativity even further

Re: Halo Infinite Celebrates The Festive Season With Free 10-Tier Event Pass

I clocked just over 3 days total play (finished campaign and lots of MP) loved it initially. It was the best FPS to come out, alongside Battlefield and COD vanguard, infinite was the better of the 3. However, although initially hooked I quickly stopped playing around this time last year, after the Christmas armours obtained and battle pass completed. I’ve not played it since. As much as I love Halo, sadly it wasn’t a return to greatness that I’d hoped for. IMO the staying power of halo 2 and 3 wasn’t there. Campaign was a 1 and done, felt a bit empty in places, environment became bland and the supporting characters weren’t as good. Looking back I’d give it a solid 7.5/10. Good but not great and the chief deserved better.

Can’t wait to give this a go, visually it’s refreshingly different, also I love the silly humour. I get it’s not for everyone, but I think the pissing pants jokes and skits like the Mac n Cheese construction bros are hilarious. Can’t help but laugh at it as it’s so ridiculous. Result it’s on game pass. There needs to be unique games like this coming out more often
