Chained Echoes doesn't have many reviews out there but the ones that are are very positive. I'm going to resub for that I think.

Pentiment and Vampire Survivors. In that order.

Couldn't disagree more with the first comment about Pentiment. It's my game of the year and in my top 10 of all time. The ending is fantastic. Probably the first time I've ever welled up playing a game.

I adore the art style, the writing is top notch and the use of fonts is really inventive.

I hope Josh Sawyer gets more opportunities to create passion projects. In a sea of mediocre 'AAA' fare games like these are a breath of fresh air.

@Dezzy70 Do you work in a job in which you have access to stock levels, or is this anecdotally-based?

Soccer Story looks cool. Will be trying that out.

@Dezzy70 I wasn't implying that they have anything to worry about. A lot of them just seem to despise Spencer.

Chained Echoes looks beautiful. Hopefully if has a good story to go with those visuals.

I'm so excited for this one. Seems right up my alley. Love those games where you can just switch off, listen to music and grind away.

@BulkSlash Most open world games have bugs like these. Even the insanely polished Red Dead 2. It comes with the territory unfortunately.

Also, the Steam Deck is equivalent to a PS4 (give or take) so it isn't going to run as well.

That's 2 games really 😅 Good additions though. I played Monkey Island on Switch. It's fantastic.

Hope this is good. A more mature take on Fire Emblem sounds great.

That's a really poor offering. A Plague Tale 2 cannot come soon enough.

Wow, that's 21 games leaving over the space of a month. Some of them big hitters too. I've been subbed to GP for a while but my sub is due to lapse next month. At this rate I may leave it a while before resubbing.

All that said, I need to get round to playing A Plague Tale before it leaves.

Just a tip for anyone starting out. Select the 'About' option on the main menu and read the info it gives. It sets you up for the game and lets you know what it's all about. It should be more prominent. About pages are usually just legal jargon/ credits.

Hitman is probably one of my games of last generation so really happy to see this.

Just played an hour of Tinykin. It's fantastic if you like 3D platformers.

The 10 club in Edge is quite a prestigious group. I was looking forward to this; now I'm hyped.

The new Hot Wheels one is the first I've played and I'm really enjoying it so far. It has more progression to it than the main game which I approve of.

Downloaded it to try. Just finished playing it for 5 hours straight. It's a really zen experience. Will be playing again.

The fanboying is strong with this thread. Each console has their strengths and weaknesses. It's great that we have so many options. Competition is healthy right now and that can only benefit the consumer.

@NEStalgia Because people like different things. There are swathes of people out there who do not understand why you would want to be a space marine shooting aliens in the face, or an Italian plumber jumping on turtle's heads.

You could extend your question to all media. Why do people watch tv shows about real life situations? Why do they read books about things that actually happen? Some people just enjoy being grounded in reality and do not need to escape to fantasy worlds to find something interesting.

That being said, I have no interest in this and would rather shoot said aliens in the face...

Why can't any video games get passing right. They are passing to each other at 150mph with no backlift at all. It's what makes it looks so gamey and unrealistic.

@JohannVanDerSmut Yep, it's the best feature of this gen of consoles that no-one is talking about.

@SithThanos Counter point: I couldn't care less about achievements and, along with Smart Delivery, Quick Resume is the best feature of the new series of Xbox's. I really miss it when playing my PS5.

It's scary to think of the potential user base this opens the service up to.

It's really great. I have just beat the second boss and i'm having a great time. The puzzles are a little simplistic, but other than that I don't really have anything negative to say. There are much worse ways to spend 16 quid.

I spend more time playing indies than 'AAA' games these days. Playing through Deaths Door at the minute (just started the forest area) and it is an absolute treat. I have no idea how the rest of the game is yet, but, based on what I have played, I feel like if you replaced the crow with Link it would get 10/10's across the board (and I say this as a huge Zelda fan).
