@Lrapsody User scores are even more worthless. Too many people give games a 10 or a 0 out of ten.

One of my most anticipated games. The reveal trailer absolutely blew me away. Hopefully we will get a release date soon.

Are we really debating whether reviews have merit? Come on... not everyone has a Gamepass subscription. Not everyone has infinite time.

Was it ever sold as a big visual enhancement? I thought it was just a frame rate and resolution bump.

@PJOReilly I carried on playing last night and it's starting to strike a chord with me. You were spot on in the review by saying the first few hours are a bit rough.

I'm about 90 minutes in and not sure if I'm going to continue. It seems like a labor of love but I simply don't have time for some of the older mechanics (random encounters are kinda bugging me already).

Awesome, knew it was worth waiting. Nearly bought it in the recent sale a few times.

Why do people get so offended when others rate things higher than than themselves. If people think this show is a 9 or 10 then let them. It makes zero difference to your own life. Just makes you seem overly sensitive.

The show was really good. I have some issues with the ending and the pacing was a little off halfway through. Much better than I expected. I'd give it a solid 8/10 and I'm looking forward to Season 2.

I'm playing through it on Switch at the minute and it's way better than it had any right to be.

More people having access to great games is a net positive. Can't really be argued with. You lose nothing as an Xbox gamer if the game releases on another platform.

@AM2fl4m3 copying and taking inspiration are two very different things. This game seems to have enough of its own ideas to make it its own thing.

It's so-so. I'll check in again in a few years when it's finished. Feels very rough. Too many good finished games to catch up with first.

Asylum is in my top 10 games of all time. Its a masterpiece.

In any other year Starfield may make the cut, but not in this one. 2023 has been absolutely stellar.

I always like the idea of these games more than the reality.

I finished Yakuza 0 and found the highs to be high, but the lows to be an absolute slog. Got about halfway through 7 before giving up, and I've just bounced off of Ishin after about 5 hours.

Wish I liked them more.

Leaving a score of 0 or 1 is just disingenuous and leaves the impression that you haven't actually played it.

I'm 9 hours in and found the beginning a slow burn. I'd say 8/10 so far. I just wish navigating through the starmap wasn't so cumbersome.

@Yarec123 I would take this over microtransactions in a heartbeat. Have some restraint and wait a bit, it's not hard to do. There are loads of games to play while waiting.

The more Luke warm reviews suggest the start is an issue and it gets better as it goes along.

@Xboxer999 It absolutely is the killer app that Xbox has been looking for. They will spin up the marketing machine and it will hit hard. The general public care very little whether a game gets 85 or 95 on Metacritic. Good review scores do not equal popularity.

Looking forward to the game. Skyrim in space with extra features is all I wanted/ expected. This year is going to go down as an all timer in gaming.

I have an unhealthy obsession with purple gaming paraphernalia. I have purple joycons, and a purple Dualsense. I don't need this as I have the Starfield controller but I'll likely buy it anyway...

@Seygamers Scotland are not part of the EU. They left with the rest of the UK. It's true that Scotland voted to stay (as did London) but it was a UK wide referendum so it (unfortunately) made no difference.

@UltimateOtaku91 Microsoft have every right to question business practices that Sony have, considering the opposition Sony are showing to the Activision merger. Nothing 'bratty' about it.

There isn't a right side to this argument. Paid for exclusivity and industry consolidation ultimately hurt the consumer at the end of the day. Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo are all guilty of both.

That's some crazy word salad. The game sold poorly because you rushed it out of the door. This resulted in a buggy, unoptimized mess with a rubbish story. It's as simple as that.

I hope so just so we can stop hearing about it. I really enjoy this site but a bit less so recently as the front page is flooded with articles about the takeover (2 of the top 5 articles are about it). I appreciate that they are covering an important deal for Xbox but very few of them actually have any substance and it feels like we are reading the same thing with one or two new quotes each time.

They always seem to have a lot of comments however so I imagine engagement is pretty high. Just a bit fed up of hearing about it.

They should take as long as they need to make sure it is up to snuff. Performance is considered a much bigger deal now than it was when Fallout 4 was released.

@The_Pixel_King Yes it does. I play MH solo 95% of the time and it's great. It does have a high barrier to entry though. I'd advise watching a few beginner YouTube videos before playing.

If it gets it's hooks in you, they will stay in you. I started on the 3DS and have thousands of hours across multiple entries.

@Jenkinss It's way better. No requirement to watch the cutscenes before anyone else can join in this one.

That being said, there is a single player portion that does not have multiplayer (village quests).

I'm playing on PS5 and it's awesome. 60fps makes it feel like a new game.

Roiland humour aside, the game looks a bit generic. The genre seems very stale in general. It has all been downhill since Titanfall 2's campaign.
