Re: Many Studios Are 'Desperately' Struggling With Xbox Series S, Claims Developer

Jbuggydroid

It's a nice little gamepass machine and if anything if support is dropped that will be fine for me since I could just stream the game on the system instead.

But I do agree with others talking about games that are also released on PC.... Perhaps Xbox games should come with graphic options. Honestly it's just two different hardware compared to the many different configurations of PC. And I was under the assumption since the architecture was very similar between PC and consoles that doing something as simple as graphic settings for different hardware wouldn't be an issue.

Series S should be just a 1080p system with no raytracing. Lower shadow quality and effects. Maybe there is more to it but I don't understand the issue or what the requirements are.

Re: Reaction: GoldenEye Is Finally Coming To Xbox, But It's A Rare Whiffed Shot For 007

@Tarps so I saw a video showing that it is possible to play the OG N64 version with two controllers and using player two controller for moving the camera. Basically a way to do dual sticks in the game and there was no modding involved. It was a controller option in the original game. Haven't been able to verify but it's cool.

Also from what I recall the OG had major aim assist much like Doom games of old.

Re: GoldenEye 007 Reportedly Won't Include Online Multiplayer On Xbox

@Banjo- the N64 app and the other retro system apps on the switch have online baked in. Basically it's local multiplayer but you can do it online now. There is no online added to these games. They are basically emulators that enable the ability to do online.

It's prob the only way Nintendo would allow this to happen. Rumor is they are the reason the remake didn't come to light.

Re: Halo Infinite Players Discover Split-Screen Exploit On Xbox Series X|S

Jbuggydroid

I don't think we Halo fans ever asked for 4 player spilt screen co-op. Just the stand 2 player co-op that has been a series staple. Honestly don't understand 343i decision to not go thru with this especially if 4 player on series X is working as well as it is. 2 player should be feasible and I do believe with online co-op there is a limit to how far you can get away from each other.

Re: Skull & Bones Developer Claims The Game Lacks Depth In Every Area

The trend of micro transactions being a huge money maker probably changed this game fundamentally and why it was delayed for so long. I firmly believe without any evidence that the game was originally going to be more of a better Black Flag but with the assassin's Creed stuff. Now that it is has gone this route I'm going to go the toure of not buying it.

I was excited for this game especially since I just started playing black flag on my switch earlier this year (I've been following gaming news for a long time so I've known about skull and bones for a long time) but after the trailer announcement of multiplayer I said nope and that was that.

Re: Halo Infinite's Disc Reportedly Doesn't Include The Full Game

Writing has been on the wall for a long time. Physical media these days is dead. It's rare to get a game fully on physical media these days. Patches and free dlc or even paid dlc makes physical obsolete and until that changes game preservation will have to rely on the community and the internet.
