@BlueOcean I see your point, however I have personally never once had an issue with Nintendo hardware. I have had complete system hardware failures from Sega (once), Sony (once), and Microsoft (four times) in the 37 years I’ve been gaming, so by that logic, they are the ones who should focus on software, right? Also, the Series X and PS5 are already running outdated hardware so technically their software is being hampered by it as well.
We need to all stop drinking the “more powerful systems = better games” koolaid. I was stuck in that camp for years before I realized it was dumb and fun games are fun games. A brand new system does nothing to keep me from enjoying Pac-Man every time I see it in an arcade because the power of that Arcade board is meaningless.
I've always kind of wondered if Halo could be made into a good 2D game. I've never been a fan of the franchise, FPS games aren't really my thing, but if a 2D run-n-gun or platformer were to surface, I might give it a look.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is why owning your games will always be better than renting/leasing them and why I will never be on board with these subscription based services.
My original Xbox caught fire and I had two 360s with the Red Ring of Death. I completely bypassed the Xbox One generation so hopefully this current one treats me better.
60fps for Advent Rising (assuming Ziggaraut makes it available for Series S|X now that they own the rights) would make that one of the most magical experiences in all of gaming. That game was an absolute gem but got hammered for poor frame rate.
I have this for PS4 but I can't decide if it's worth buying for my Series X or just waiting until I get a PS5. Does this game run better with the extra horsepower in the Series X than on PS5 or is the Xbox version somehow behind since it was a Playstation exclusive for so long?
Any chance it is mold release? I see this in action figures every once in a while. It's easy to wipe off but comes back in time. The fact that the Series X is so hot might just be speeding up the process.
I’d rather my OG Xbox games just be able to play on Series X. I don’t, however, speak for everyone by saying I don’t really have much nostalgia for the first Xbox.
How about just letting me put any of my original Xbox discs into my Series X and actually being able to play them? I have games that are not included in backwards compatibility and it irritates me.
This will be my first Xbox since the original in the early 2000s. Yesterday, I got my pre-order in at Best Buy for a Series X and can pick it up next week. Today, MS raises the Live memberships to $120 per year. Honestly, I'm already thinking I made a mistake.

@BlueOcean I think the 92 million Switch consoles sold is a reason Nintendo doesn't need to go software only.
Re: The Dreamcast's Legacy Lives On With Xbox, Says Former SEGA America President
The strange thing is, I don't associate Sega with either Xbox or Playstation. I see Sega more closely tied to Nintendo now than the others.
