I cancelled. The price is insane here in Canada; $430 a year. That's the price of a new console.

They just added a whole bunch of Bethesda games to Amazon Luna if you have Prime!

The people who can afford it won't have time to play it. Real smart.

The demo for Faith: The Unholy Trinity is up now. I enjoyed it. It's like an Amiga or C64 game where you're a priest who uses a cross as a weapon of course. You point it at monsters and gravestones lol.
Of course it has more depth to it than a game from that era. It also has some awesome cutscenes in like an MS Paint and Flash style.
I'll probably buy it.

Sounds like a way to eventually make features into paid add-ons.
The Xbox platform can't just be a logo, it should continue to have a solid framework and features.

No. The price of these things is absolutely bonkers.
I remember having a GameCube AND a GameBoy SP. This is because the handheld was CHEAPER than the console.
Yes, the graphics weren't even close. But it was a handheld. Does a handheld really need to be just like a console? That's how you wanna play an entire AAA game?

As I use an OG Gamesir G7 SE, I was really interested in this. But this design theme is horrible imo.

I always found it dumb that you need game pass to play these free weekend games.
Unlike a game pass user, there is a much higher chance that I'll buy the games after playing them.

@jesse_dylan Couldn't they just use RetroArch? It's open source. They would still be able to use their (lackluster) UI.
All that's needed is a temp folder for the ROMs, which they already support. They even allow for loading ROMs to RAM.

@awp69 to be fair, I really think it matters how close you are to their servers.
I live in Eastern Canada but they only have a Central Canada server. I've tried the Eastern USA sever too and had the same results.

Antstream is pretty terrible. I had it for a year. There was wayyy too much lagging, and I never understood why since I don't have problems streaming modern games on other services.
Like why not just have it download as a temporary file? It's not like a modern game that takes a long time to download.

I hope they have leaderboards.

Some puppet combo games need to be in here.

I'd like it to be able to show a shortcut icon on each title. This way I would be able find games in my library that aren't on my guide groups.

@jesse_dylan It has an easy mode to make it more about the exploration. There's a lot to explore and figure out.

@Millionski I sub to core because I have games that I own that I wanna play online, but no longer have interest in the GP collection.
It's nice that it comes with some games but I'm really only interested in playing the games I spent money on.
Though I would understand them getting rid of core and making it free to play online.

GTA 6 is probably gonna be a dud. The formula that worked in 2013 isn't gonna work now.

They hardly make green things anymore, public servers are silent because of party chat, most of the BC games aren't even tagged probably for filtering.

Older people like myself still play on XB1 because there's no game that makes me wanna upgrade.
Also young kids play on XB1 because it's a hand me down.

@Balaam_ On this one you have to pay for a whole year. You can also pay for a "lifetime", but who knows how long they'll be around for.
The games are streamed to you rather than temporarily installed like they could be because they're so small. So unless you live close to one of their servers (that they don't tell you the locations of), you will get lag.
For me none of the games are even playable unless it's like 4am when there's no one on. And they will not refund me.
Stay away from Antstream.

Their UI is still horrible. But not to worry "The Vision" is coming lol.
The owners of Antstream sound like they're running a cult, and they're definitely not gamers.

@Arcticpandapopz You can still do custom soundtrack basically by playing Spotify in the background and adjusting the volume.
Like right now I'm playing Diablo while listening to a metal playlist.

But aren't they all about preservation? Lol
