So little imagination for potentially great games. A proper single player evil dead or tcm could be brilliant

I have all xbox consoles still hooked up and mostly hacked but I truly think they have been the worst major player since day one. The 360 was decent but still not a patch on sonys offering and from the one onwards its been in freefall. I think its overly kind to compare xbox to sega (although tbf xbox has now lasted longer as a manufacturer) as unlike sega I don't think xbox leaves behind much of a legacy. Yes you can point to forza, gears and halo but so what??. Microsoft arrived with a bang and are leaving on a whimper. I fully expect them to continue as a profitable 3rd party and probably have game pass on more devices which is great for Microsoft but I fail to see how that's a win for any xbox player...

@trev666 what's the game like in single player? Is there a proper story mode at all?

Tbf I'm impressed anyone's still buying xbox at all. The writings clearly on the wall so why bother?

40fps on quality mode should be included on every title

Shorter games are fine for ps plus or gp but generally prefer middle to longer games when I'm spending my own cash

First game looked great too but was little more than a walking sim with annoying sound so hopefully the gameplays much improved

I like Phil but he was handed a sinking ship and hasn't been able to fix it. Xbox as a console is all but dead unfortunately

Fight night champion, played through the story mode and its still great

That generation was probably the pinnacle of gaming as its been diminishing returns ever since and I don't mean xbox by that although they've definitely had the furthest fall

Love a good remake or remaster but there's limits such as tlou2 remaster which was ridiculously unneeded. I'm big into emulation at the minute and honestly with the settings turned up we don't need to be paying for remasters, although sometimes the controls are a welcome upgrade

I hope not, it cheapens the brand and xbox just feel a little desperate at the moment unfortunately

@Kaloudz and I can't argue with that, it's just not how i want it to be 😀 tbh I'm 46 now and don't love how the industry is going. While I still really enjoy a gow or a decent open worlder I'm starting to appreciate retro gaming more and more especially systems like dreamcast and gamecube where I can upscale them to 4k and they look unbelievable. All this live service and online multiplayer stuff just doesn't appeal

@Kaloudz I agree with you but still don't think it's consumer friendly. Digital prices are still higher than physical (with zero resale value) and its only gonna get worse when we don't have a choice...

Not to rile anyone up but I wouldn't care if xbox went all digital but I would if playstation do. I got the series x as a gamepass machine and to be fair I barely use it as that, lately I've used it more on steamdeck. I'm a little more interested because of indy etc but xbox really isn't doing it for me this gen...

They're decent enough controllers but I'm just not a fan of the asymmetrical sticks. Decent for driving games though

@BIG3 absolutely they do good 1st person games but indy is definitely more suited to 3rd person

@xanderten50 amd me, I was hoping a shadow drop was their thing. At the very least I thought there might be a few abk games thrown onto gamepass. Still a decent format and finally some interesting exclusives

Well this is just wrong. All I wanted was an uncharted like game but with indy preferably based on the first 3 movies and they give me this. Still play it though, looks pretty sweet in a wrong kinda way
