I'm super curious to see how crazy this hrs game goes graphically. FH5 already looks amazing, and that had to work on last gen.

@demian You miss the part where it said it was a collaboration between the two? Personally if it comes between blaming the dev studio that seems to know what they're doing or blaming Xbox game studios, I'm gonna blame the latter.

@Gabrie I don't know man, cloud streaming still isn't a viable option for a lot of people. I have pretty good Internet and haven't had a remotely good experience with it. But yeah, definitely think it's farther than a few years for sure.

Legitimately excellent choice honestly. This guy seems to be involved in a lot of good projects, especially the Fall Guy, which is an excellent film.

@LogicStrikesAgain In all honestly, 700$ was a decent price for that powerful of a machine. 730 for the 2TB Series X is insane though.

Multiversus might be one of the projects with the most missed potential in gaming history honestly.

@Anguspuss I checked Steam Deck performance on this game, and it seems to be about 720p and a rough 30fps, which is obviously much worse than on Series S. And no, games aren't running better on an equivalent or worse PC than they would a Series S. That is simply not accurate. Console optimization is better than PC optimization like 99% of the time. So yeah, you can say it as much as you like but it don't make it correct.

I really love the idea of the Series S, but man its issues have really started to show as we progress through this gen. In a lot of cases it isn't even an issue of poor optimization, it's just that many games have become too demanding for it. Kind of a bummer, but it is what it is.

@Nighto4 Lol, I feel that. Finding a way to balance gaming and movie time is a difficult task to be sure.

As many others have said, I don't. I mainly just focus on the stuff I REALLY want to play, and put everything else on the "might eventually play later" list.

Would love to see Forza Horizon 6, even though it's probably unlikely.

Would they? Probably not.
If the reports on the handheld are accurate, I just don't understand why they would at all. They didn't block their games on Steam Deck or any other PC handheld, so I don't think they would here. If anything I'd imagine they'd be happy about this sort of thing. This handheld has a chance to be the most mainstream PC handheld, thus giving Sony more people to sale their games too. I also really doubt it would cause people to buy it over a Playstation, cause they're very different devices. It's honestly a win-win for everyone.

I still really don't see this happening. It just doesn't seem like something Valve would be interested in doing at all.

@Friendly Dude it is obviously not an exclusivity deal. Whenever Sony has an exclusivity deal they make sure everybody and their mother knows it. They clearly don't and never did.

Out of curiosity does anyone here have much experience using the Rockstar Launcher? Is it as annoying and awful as EA's and Ubisoft's, or is it actually decent?

None please. Microsoft already has enough IP that they're sitting on and not using, so they don't need more.

@InheritNegative Nah, Jaffe is an idiot. Maybe he didn't used to be, but he definitely is now. This isn't even based on this take, I haven't played the game so I won't judge it, but his constant whining online over the current direction of the GoW series has rightfully gained him his current status. Also, there's the infamous Metroid Dread clip, in case you really need proof.

@IronCrow86 A rogue-like is a game that is played in runs, and every time you fail you have to restart from the beginning. They also usually feature upgrades you can get along the way. Think about it like playing the original Super Mario bros, but you can upgrade your jump height, health and such as you go, but if you die you restart from scratch. Really fun genre if you like numbers and building combos and the like.

@IronCrow86 The game is a lot more than just playing cards on an Xbox. It's an entire rogue-like with loads of upgrades and optimizations that can be made every run. It only very loosely used poker as a basis. (The only real carry over from Poker is the deck and poker hands, it's entirely different outside of that.)

Playing some Avowed of course, having a great time with that. I'll probably play some Balatro at some point too.

Please tell me this doesn't mean Mercury Steam isn't working on Metroid 6. Dread is one of my favorite games of all time, and I would love a follow up.

@Ricky-Spanish It's basically Poker meets Rogue lite (or like, I don't know the proper terminology.) The game is built around trying to build high point scoring combos, using Jokers that give you extra scoring and upgrading your deck. And if this explanation doesn't make sense, don't worry, the tutorial in game is only like 5 minutes.

CAPCOM DON'T MISS

Dang, outside of FH5, Flight Sim, and Minecraft, this is a pretty sad list. It's a bummer people would rather buy the same copy-paste slop every year instead of trying something new and interesting.
