The whole situation surrounding Black Myth: Wukong and Xbox has been a head-scratcher. Over the past 10 months, we've seen the game delayed after originally getting an August 2024 release date, Microsoft appearing to suggest it might have become a timed PlayStation console exclusive, rumours suggesting the Xbox Series S might have been at least partly to blame, and Xbox boss Phil Spencer himself declining to say anything about the situation.
If you strip all of that away, the fact remains that Black Myth: Wukong is still expected to release on Xbox Series X and Series S at some point in the not too distant future, but it's understandable that some Xbox fans are getting concerned.
For what it's worth, the most recent update actually arrived at the start of the year when it was mentioned by the developer's CEO that the "10GB of shared memory" in the Xbox Series S was "really hard to make work".
