It's always around the start of the month that we bring you some upcoming server closures, and as things stand, we know of two Xbox games that are shutting down their servers in May 2025.
The first of these is MultiVersus, which was announced back in January to be shutting down on May 30th. This game will still function after May for local multiplayer, but you'll need to make sure you've downloaded it before then.
The other game skipped our radar in the form of Dauntless (thanks to True Achievements for the assist), which is another free-to-play Xbox title that's shutting down its servers on May 29th. Unfortunately, the entire game will then be unplayable (unlike MultiVersus), so you won't even be able to enjoy it offline in any fashion. What a shame!

Beyond this, we also know that NHL 23 will be leaving the EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate libraries on May 1st, and Saber Interactive has confirmed that Evil Dead: The Game will be getting delisted on Xbox imminently.
Then, looking ahead, we know of some big games shutting their Xbox servers in June including XDefiant and Resident Evil Re:Verse. Next month's list will probably look quite a bit larger than the one for May!
