@TheGameThrifter Yeah but with the increasing cost of making games it doesn't really work for most games anymore, it's be double interesting what happens next as only a few companies will be able to make AAA games costing hundreds of millions of dollars

@OldGamer999 Think it's well known most work on barely any profit but the PS Pro must be well over priced to be able to drop £140, cannot think of another that did this in recent memory, 7th gen was the last time that happened with any regularity (the heyday of moore's law, no sadly dead, hence this is the first gen prices of console have gone up as they no longer get cheaper to make due to ship shrinkage as they used to, so increases in part cost mid gen can no longer be easily absorbed, especially as games often don't make the money back these days)

@Weebleman I've seen nothing but rumours saying the PS5 Pro is the only proffitable one, which makes sense, no way would they be able to drop the price that much if it wasn't over priced to start with 🤣 and as i said before, double intertesting to see what happens with the PS6 price in comparrison 👍

and I hope so much the rumours that next gen will be pushed back to avoid the ram and ssd prices going crazy (for the ai centres being built for the next 3-5 years) as it will mitagate another problem i saw from a 2027-28 next gen release. How many are still on last gen? how many won't you get on next gen because they'll buy a current gen console for GTA but cannot see them buying anext gen console a year later

@Fiendish-Beaver Nah you are not alone, i don't mind fiddling with PCs and the steam deck but Yep, still prefer just turning a console on and playing games, but have a bit of a steam library (those sales are crazy tempting 🤣) so a hybrid system (which must be the point of the Rog Ally X, they knew it wouldn't sell well, so why do it? free testers to get the operating system as good as it can be before the next hybrid xbox? only reason i can see (and make it scalable and traferable to other devices)

@OldGamer999 Think PS5 Pro was sold at a premium becasue they knew there would be a smaller uptake, so yeah they could cut it it's price but it's well known console are made with a thin profit or none at all. The Pro is an odd one too, what will they do with it? At £699.99 keeping it around at that price must mean the PS6 will have to be more otherwise it would look odd, even then if they discontinue it and the ps6 is £650 then all buyers will know they were scalped 🤣

@PressR2 and plenty of reason why you would believe it, like they said muliple times there is a next gen xbox like they have said there will be one multiple times then there is this from xbox wire back in June

@DeadSpace Nah, the console isn’t popular enough to get hacked like the PS5 has, 360 is the newest hacked Xbox console, in time though, who knows. All the PS ones have been though 😂 Dev mode is a reasonable half way house

@LordDieALot LOVED System Shock, love how it didn't hold my hand and i got to explore the place and work it out myself, heard 2 was better so might get that (although i'm perma skint so reward points are my only saviour 😂)

@thefly0810 The original ended becuase either they couldn't get the games to run or the license was just too expensive, but yeah hope they are saving the Activision stuff for the 25th anniversary next year, if not then yeah, no idea what they are playing at (might be why all the COD games are on sale now, one last Hoorah) or maybe they keep them to milk forever 😂

@Gryzor Double odd as i had no such issues i could see, but i am one of those 'magic' people who really doesn't notice 60FPS vs 30, i honestly didn't mind when 360 Dark Souls tanked to almost single figures when all hell broke lose in the bottom of Blight Town, fond memories of it actually

Are these all just licensed games aimed at kids? and maybe it's cheap licensing when only bought for a short amount of time?

This is why all consoles need to be hacked, the PS is popluar enough to get attention but seems almost no one is working on xbox

Yep, it's been Great, playstaion may have Gears one, but i played though all 6 a month ago and they are all Great, likewise Halo 1 is coming to PS but we've had the Master Chief collection for forever (okay wasn't good for a while 🤣) but the vast number of games i have that are backwards compatible from the OG xbox forward is GREAT. Fingers crossed next gen can find a way to play licensed games
