Its a bummer no physical but that's what I got my Switch version for (Which had to be imported because of that code in a box BS they gave Europe, which is probably an indicator that XBox won't see a physical).

XBox is my main so I purchased that bad boy since I know I'll get a lot of hours on it (You have to beat every game with EVERY character or the last achievement. Not to mention Online matches.).

They can prove me wrong and I'll happily triple dip but for now, just happy to have it on XBox.

The Switch 2 will likely match it in specs, so you can bet there will be a lot of XBone/PS4 ports down the road.

If they run on the Series X/S and PS5 anyway, why wouldn't you want the whole Microsoft/Sony family of supported systems in your sales? Not every game needs current gen specs to run and you can make current gen patches for those systems anyway.

Re: Xbox's Physical Games Departments Reportedly Affected By Microsoft Layoffs

Well you can always abandon modern gaming and just embrace the tens of thousands of past physical releases on past systems.

Digital only, battle passes and DLC everywhere, half finished games set out the door to fix later, the business is already sounding more off-putting with every year that passes.

Not to say there aren't still great games being put out, just the large majority of releases embraces the stuff people hate or put up with.

Re: Xbox Game Awards 2021 Sale Now Live, 100+ Games Discounted

@BlueOcean Well, some of the recent BC games don't have a digital version on 360 consoles like the new Star Wars titles, as I'd imagine that would require extra programming on the 360's Backwards compatibility, so I'd imagine those might be the exception.

Re: After Today, Xbox Won't Be Adding Any More Classic Backwards Compatible Games

I honestly wasn't expecting 70+ and I applaud them for that. Chicken Little's Frame Boost, let alone it's inclusion baffles me they they did it to make the 5 CL fans happy so there's that.

700+ BC games is still a good number. Nothing everything was possible but they tried hard to get as much as they could and I'm happy as the big 360 fan myself to see new stuff that will come to Games with Gold and the weekly sales in due time, this is a big boost for those and will ensure the 360 servers get more lift even if the number of individual servers for games are vanishing every year.

And who knows what will happen by XBox's 25th or even 30th anniversaries. If they are really serious about buying more companies, suddenly all those SEGA games would be more than possible should that impossible transaction ever happen....

Re: Rumour: Xbox Could Be Adding New Backwards Compatible Games This November

ALK

Considering this week's 360 sale has several titles not BC and other non-BC titles in other sales past, maybe start there? I mean I'm sure those publishers would make more money if those games could be played on more consoles right?

Hell, add pointless titles if you must like OG Halo 1+2 to really beef up the numbers. Wouldn't mind new sale options on 360. XD
