Re: Thrustmaster's T248 Hybrid Drive Wheel Is Getting An Xbox Version

@InterceptorAlpha lol. When I started sim racing (3 months ago), I was considering learning how to drive a manual transmission. But I don't an actual car to really practice with. I've read online that many sim racers — that can drive a stick IRL — sim race without the clutch pedal, because games can't replicate the feeling of the clutch well enough, so it's easier to run without it.

@InterceptorAlpha That NLR is a good setup, I was deciding between that and the Playseat, but went with the Playseat because it's a little lighter, and the configuration/layout remained the same each time I unfolded it for use. But the NLR looks more comfortable, and can definitely accommodate a wider range of sized people. Also cool that you could add a flight stick to it, would have been perfect for when I had a HOTAS for MS Flight Sim, which was too hard to use so now I just use a controller.

@Halucigens I don't have this one (T248), but I do have a T300RS GT. Thrustmaster makes good wheels for the money👍 That said, if you're like me, always looking for a step better (I started with a Logitech, then upgraded to a Thrustmaster), I might hold off for Fanatec CSL DD, which is what I am waiting on now... But if you can see yourself happy & content with an affordable wheel for years to come, then you can't go wrong with a Thrustmaster!

Re: Forza Horizon 5 Pre-Install Now Available, 100GB+ On All Platforms

Not downloadable for me; I'm in the US ...

EDIT: It is working. Although, it required me to delete my previous pre-loading install of the game (only 300MB or so), and re-download the game at the full 103 gigs...

Oof. With all of these FREE Game Pass apps, I've been having to do alot shuffling games around. Currently Quantum Break (86GB) is the game I have yet to get to that keeps getting the boot lol

Re: Xbox Game Pass Continues Impressive Growth, But Misses Yearly Target

Hope this doesn't have some negative impact on the future of Game Pass, like I've seen some suggest. I recently got back into the Xbox ecosystem and have been appreciating Game Pass so much because there are so many games to play & not enough time that are new to me or that I prefer to play here instead of on my PS5, that I bought heavily (many months into the future) into Game Pass ...

Was lucky enough to land a Series X last week. Happy to be back in the Xbox ecosystem after skipping last-gen. Already I have filled up my SSD with 20 games, nearly all free from Game Pass.

One game I did purchase, however, was WRC 9, on sale for $12.49. But when I launched the game and found it had dodgy, erratic support for my racing wheel, I requested a refund, and in less than 2 minutes, Microsoft refunded me. This flat out would not have been granted to me on my PS5/4 — just look at how unplayable Cyberpunk had to be and the public pressure that was required for Sony to be fair to its customers.

While not perfect, and yeah, they are still just another big corporation — and granted they have been playing "catch up" to Sony for the past generation — Nevertheless, the goodwill towards consumers I have seen from MS in recent years I had really come to admire upon rejoining their ecosystem.

My refund experience alone was enough for me to buy future months of Game Pass ...
