Re: Xbox Is Officially 'Reevaluating' What To Do About Exclusivity

belmont

I personally voted "I don't care". If I want to play a game I will get it on PC where they will keep on coming. But they most probably move to a "game by game" basis and release games like Doom, Call of Duty, legacy games everywhere and games like whatever the next Halo/Forza is only on PC/Xbox.

Re: Talking Point: Do You Think Project Helix Will Support Physical Xbox Games?

belmont

The problem is that true physical editions do not really exist due to patches, dlc, missing day one content etc, but I see them offering an external solution because lots of fans have older games on disk, provided that they commit to backwards combatability. Personally, I don't really care since I have no Xbox disk games and I may not be even able to afford Helix, even though the concept sounds fresh and cool.

Re: Report: ROG Xbox Ally Pre-Orders Now Expected To Begin In Late September

belmont

I don't think I care since the device won't be available in my country for some stupid reason... And all other Xbox and Ally consoles are readily available in all major retailers.

I guess I could buy one when I visit Brussels or take the gamble and order one from stores that deliver in whole Europe but it is too much of a hustle...

Re: Xbox Reportedly Been 'In Talks' Over Putting Steam On Next Console

belmont

Sony: We won't release our games on Xbox, only on Steam, GOG and Epic Games.
Microsoft: Ok, no problem (releases Steam app for Xbox)

On a more serious tone Microsoft, Apple ang Google are in the European Union's target list due to monopolies. Microsoft will address this by opening the console to other digital stores. Sony and Nintendo are also under investigation for the nin existed refund practices, among other stuff.

Re: Lots Of Xbox Games Have Suddenly Been Delisted In Some Countries

belmont

@BAMozzy Just realised that you have already written what I wanted to say.

To add I have a ton of digital games that they have been delisted that I can re download and play. The most recent examples are the retro SEGA games. I can still redownload and play say Daytona in my Xbox Series S.

In the end of the day digital is much better for video game preservation whether we talk about disk back ups or digital games. You can store the games in multiple hard disks or even in the cloud. You don't care if the original cardidges or CDs corrode.

Re: Xbox's New Job Advert Is Amazing News For Backwards Compatibility

belmont

I hope we see retro games from Xbox systems in PC. To be fair a fair amount are already on either Steam or Microsoft store. I would live to play again some more niche games that have Xbox One BC version like the old Dead or Alive games or Lost Odyssey. Also, the classic Killer Instinct games would be cool. Or they could release Rare Replay but I think they still don't want to release something with an in house emulator on an open platform like the PC.

Re: Xbox Features 'Steam' Games In New Mockup UI Image From GDC

belmont

@TheGiraffe Well I have a Steam Deck and the verifed games just work without doing anything. And some of them are new games like Spiderman 2 and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Microsoft could do something similar for a potential Steam app for Xbox. Imagine playing Sony published games like Spiderman 2 in an Xbox via a Steam client.

Re: Talking Point: Which Has Been The Most Reliable Xbox Console For You?

belmont

@Ralizah The hinge in my OG launch DS was destroyed from use and the touch functionality on my launch DS lite stoped working. Other than that the replacement consoles and the 3DS line are in perfect shape. My launch Switch though is one point before the trash can. I keep repairing the cons and they still drift, the charging stops working randomly the whole thing seems very cheap. That said my OG Game Boy still works with no issues.

On topic I have only a Series S and works perfectly, the UI is fast and the console is quite.
