@Neverwild yeah indeed. In this case, it is MS fault for dropping MT Framework on the console.
Also btw regarding TGAAC which came out in 2021 (meaning MT Framework still supported Xbox). Reason THAT one didn’t come to Xbox was due to abysmal sales of the PW trilogy.
I thought the reason it wasn’t ported to Xbox was because of the whole engine issue. If that’s the case, then MS should help them out. But I’m not sure why Capcom would drop support for MT Framework for Xbox when the engine still supports PS4 though.
Edit: as @Neverwild stated, it was Microsoft that dropped support for it not Capcom. Go complain to MS instead.
If it is the case of poor sales on Xbox, that also makes sense. Fighting games have a big community on PlayStation hence why it released there. And Capcom would be dumb to not release it on PC because so many people are on PC so for more money, the game is on PC. Retro releases and collections sell well on Switch for the most part so that’s why it’s on Switch. I guess if it is the case of low sales on the previous collection, then I can see why Capcom didn’t port it.
Either way, I wish the petition and people petitioning for it good luck. Petitions could work after all. They did a petition to bring Burnout Paradise to Switch and it worked. So maybe it will work for Marvel Vs Capcom too.
Regarding this collection, fighting games have a big audience on PlayStation hence the release there. And so many people play on PC so ofc it will release on PC.
Lots of people who have a Switch would buy collections and retro games so hence it will release on Switch too.
@Ralizah also I don’t understand Sony’s strategy for PC games. Like wait a few years and then port it? Or like have the first game on PC and get the sequel on PS5???
I personally think this will backfire. PC gamers can just wait. They have so many other games to play as well. Spider Man 2 will come to PC eventually and Sony can just port other games to PC to tide PC gamers over.
@Ralizah soon every Xbox game will come to other platforms. Eventually no need for an Xbox. Just get it all on PC.
Sony seems to be heading the same way but at a slower pace. Give the time, and Spider Man 2 will come to PC soon. Probably next year or whenever BTSV comes out.
@Banjo- and you seem to forget that the Switch isn’t backwards compatible at all while Xbox Series is. Not saying that 60 dollars is worth it, (it’s not). But at least think about it a little.
That’s probably why Capcom didn’t release Great Ace Attorney on Xbox. And Xbox probably had to pay Capcom to get Apollo Justice and the Investigaton games to Xbox.
@DJKingaling maybe depends on type of game I guess.
Something like Monster Hunter Stories and Ace Attorney miss Xbox due to audience I guess (yes I know most of the Ace Attorney games are on Xbox BUT NOT ALL tho)
@NeutronBomb kinda obvious that it was Sony Phil was referring to since they do it quite often and lot of times, the games get locked out from Xbox and Nintendo too an extent.
Microsoft ain’t innocent regarding these “slimy platform things” either. Look at the Xbox 360 COD exclusivity and the timed exclusivity of Rise of the Tomb Raider. Those are some examples. Sony ain’t innocent either. Final Fantasy 7 remakes, Silent Hill 2 remake, etc. Neither of them are innocent as they both have done these things.
@Banjo- tbh, I don’t think Square will make any more deals with Sony regarding exclusivity due to sales of FF 16 and Rebirth (which is probably because of Square’s ridiculous standards).
But they probably will make more deals with Nintendo though.
Nintendo IPs not a chance. But maybe some 3rd party exclusives that Nintendo had signed for exclusivity like SMT 5 and Fatal Frame 4 and 5 can make it to Xbox.
@Banjo- a few Sony PC ports are on Xbox? Apart from MLB the Show and Bungie games, I don't Xbox will get any more games from Sony. Except maybe, MAYBE Until Dawn. I don't know. I don't think it will happen. But personally I think if Xbox does put some more games multiplatform (Like HFR and Pentiment particularly), Sony should reciprocate that as well imo.
Until Dawn is the next Sony game to be on PC so.. yeah.

@LikelySatan Hmm? Negative previews. But why?

Re: Random: Xbox Owner Turns Original Console Into Powerful Gaming PC
That’s pretty damn cool.
Re: Capcom's Old Game Engine Seemingly To Blame For Certain Releases Skipping Xbox
@GamingFan4Lyf cost of development as the other person said.
NRS used UE3 for MK11 in 2019. And they used UE4 for MK1. So yeah…
Re: Xbox Set To Miss Out On Marvel Vs. Capcom Fighting Collection
@Jireland92 guess Xbox thought the collection would come to their platform.
And I guess the sales of other fighting game collections on Xbox weren’t good so that’s probably why.
Re: Xbox Set To Miss Out On Marvel Vs. Capcom Fighting Collection
@Jireland92 Xbox probably paid Capcom for Investigations. But I guess they didn’t for the fighting game collection.
Re: Xbox Set To Miss Out On Marvel Vs. Capcom Fighting Collection
@Savage_Joe exactly.
Regarding this collection, fighting games have a big audience on PlayStation hence the release there. And so many people play on PC so ofc it will release on PC.
Lots of people who have a Switch would buy collections and retro games so hence it will release on Switch too.
Re: Xbox Set To Miss Out On Marvel Vs. Capcom Fighting Collection
@Savage_Joe
Not exactly. If that were the case, why were Resident Evil, DMC, and hell even Monster Hunter released on Xbox?
Certain Capcom franchises will do better in West than in Japan and vice versa.
Something like Resident Evil will be popular in West thus come to Xbox
But something like Ace Attorney will be more popular in Japan thus likely no Xbox port.
Re: Xbox Set To Miss Out On Marvel Vs. Capcom Fighting Collection
@Jireland92 PS5 can play PS4 games so there is no issue at all with that.
This game isn't even coming to Xbox One which is the problem.
Re: Reaction: Xbox & Nintendo Continue To Deliver With Major Summer Showcases
@Ralizah my guess is a release along with BTSV
Re: Xbox Set To Miss Out On Marvel Vs. Capcom Fighting Collection
@BHPM Honestly I thought the Investigation collection won't be on Xbox. I am surprised it did come to Xbox.
But I am also surprised that Marvel Vs Capcom won't be coming to Xbox.
Re: Reaction: Xbox & Nintendo Continue To Deliver With Major Summer Showcases
@Ralizah Agreed. With HFW and GOW Ragnarok coming to PC, it’s just not worth getting a PS5 when they come to PC.
Mark my words, Spider Man 2 will come to PC soon.
Re: Reaction: Xbox & Nintendo Continue To Deliver With Major Summer Showcases

Re: Reaction: Xbox & Nintendo Continue To Deliver With Major Summer Showcases
@Ralizah exactly. No need for Xbox or PlayStation. And yeah every Xbox game comes to PC. But I was talking about PS tho.
PC and Nintendo is all you need anyway. This is the future as I see.
Re: Reaction: Xbox & Nintendo Continue To Deliver With Major Summer Showcases

Re: Gallery: Here's A First Look At The Thing: Remastered For Xbox One & Series X|S
@Yousef- it’s the thing
Re: Reaction: Xbox & Nintendo Continue To Deliver With Major Summer Showcases
@Ralizah not only that but that new DOOM is gonna be on PlayStation as well.
Re: Reaction: Xbox & Nintendo Continue To Deliver With Major Summer Showcases
@Banjo- and you seem to forget that the Switch isn’t backwards compatible at all while Xbox Series is. Not saying that 60 dollars is worth it, (it’s not). But at least think about it a little.
Re: Reaction: Xbox & Nintendo Continue To Deliver With Major Summer Showcases
@Divide_and_Wander
The way you phrased this is a bit weird. Took me a few minutes to see you’re doing it from least to greatest.
Normally, I would do that greatest to least.
Re: Reaction: Xbox & Nintendo Continue To Deliver With Major Summer Showcases
And once again, Nintendo dominates in the direct. Xbox too in their showcase.
Sony, take lots of notes. LOTS OF NOTES.
Re: Xbox Set To Miss Out On Marvel Vs. Capcom Fighting Collection
@JoakimZ I think they meant they will stop exclusivity to one platform or one console.
Re: Xbox Set To Miss Out On Marvel Vs. Capcom Fighting Collection
@BHPM probably low sales.
That’s probably why Capcom didn’t release Great Ace Attorney on Xbox. And Xbox probably had to pay Capcom to get Apollo Justice and the Investigaton games to Xbox.
Re: Xbox Set To Miss Out On Marvel Vs. Capcom Fighting Collection
Honestly I thought this one would be on Xbox.
I mean fighting games are typically released on both Xbox and PlayStation for the most part.
I get why Monster Hunter Stories, Mega Man Battle Network and Great Ace Attorney didn’t come to Xbox but I genuinely thought this one would make it.

@purexbox this game was announced a few years ago not today. Few years ago, they announced this but no release date or anything.

@rhyno_888 did u actually expect Nintendo 1st party games to be shown? ITS A PARTNER SHOWCASE. Meaning only indies and 3rd parties.
Re: Two Xbox Exclusives Are Launching On Nintendo Switch In The Next Few Months
@rhyno_888 and neither is Monster Hunter Stories Remastered.
Re: Two Xbox Exclusives Are Launching On Nintendo Switch In The Next Few Months
@rhyno_888 you're getting SMT V
Re: Two Xbox Exclusives Are Launching On Nintendo Switch In The Next Few Months
@Lup yes
