Ubisoft is giving Xbox players free PC versions of select games they already own digitally on console, at no additional cost.
Currently the offers extends to thirteen titles in total, all of which will be playable through the Ubisoft Connect app on PC. For most games, the specific edition and DLC content you may have purchased on console should transfer over to the PC version too, however Ubisoft has mentioned 'in-game currency and one-time-use content' may not make the jump.
"From today, customers that purchase a digital version of the listed titles will immediately get the XBOX console and XBOX on PC digital versions. For existing owners of an XBOX digital version of the listed titles, you will receive the PC version during a progressive rollout period until August 4."
We did wonder what the score was with the sudden influx of Ubisoft games added to the Xbox PC app last week. As it turns out, it's part of Xbox and Ubisoft's ongoing partnership to make more of the publisher's catalogue available across Xbox and PC.
It could also be the early signs of the pair getting infrastructure ready for the next console generation.
