As much as I hate ads, I do think that having a 'free' tier lends itself to getting more consumers onto the platform. Their new motto is 'everything is an xbox', and they want everyone to play, even if it means free. Fortnite is free and gets the largest influx of players daily, and they're willing to spend money on cosmetics or dlc to have what they want. I don't see this tier of game pass being a bad thing if the ads actually pay for the way for better games and options down the line for everyone.

I also 100% believe that the 5 hour limit and 1 hour of gameplay is purely for internal testing. I can imagine free tier giving you an ad or two before you start, and an ad or two when you finish. It's no real threat, similar to a youtube video.

When I see that hardware sales are down, I'm never surprised as it's been a fair few years since they released a new console. I know they've cloud gaming in TVs now, but none of those are exactly a purchase people make often.

And I think this is where Xbox is leading. I don't really consider Nintendo due to the fact they're in their own little league and generation, but Xbox really have been providing enough options that anyone can play their games. I think playstation need to innovate now. They're just behind in the race.

Microsoft aren't making money from the consoles, it's purely to drive sales of game pass and games/services. Steam being on the hardware, and by assumption EA, UBI etc they may have to have some sort of deal financially that makes it worthwhile, whether steam has some sort of link to pc game pass or something like that

Gameplay is solid as a platformer, graphics are great, and the transitions between gameplay and cutscene are flawless. Really enjoying it so far! Minor gripe, and it's not much of one, but due to it being a two player game, they're aren't many areas where it seems appropriate to pause or take a break from? No option to save from the menu, so have to wait for an auto save, but again, very minor!

I have to admit, the only time I can really game is for like an hour after work, and usually something like fortnite which is simple to gauge is suitable. I can't concentrate or have the time for these big story games.

Kingdom Hearts 4, come on, do Sony dirty

Microsoft could put the time into making an astrobot contender using the banjo-kazzooie IP, it would actually draw attention. Heck, make it multi-platform

The thing with hardware is that once you buy it, you have it. It's a sort of one and done deal, whereas the software keeps coming out. Once people buy their xbox's, they're not going to buy another one until the next gen. Same with surfaces and accessories really.

See, I picked this game up for the first time last year, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm surprised by the hate on it, especially considering how well it holds up for a game that's 10 years old. A sequel would have been appreciated, but hey ho, a lot of the mechanics have been worked and bettered in their new Spiderman games.

That's great to hear - I travel a lot, so being able to play my library whenever I land at a hotel or family location is fantastic news for my downtime!

This is honestly the first I've ever heard of this game, and it's a shame! I loved battle for bikini bottom, to hear that they're just creating absolute garbage following the remaster it's a total waste.

If anyone can help me figure out how to use controller on pc, that would be amazing! Found it weird that you had to download it through the store as well...

@Vipor007 if you're into JRPGs, I honestly believe they are up there as the best, but they're not for everyone. The last Dragon Quest game was brilliant, and I always recommend it if it comes on sale!

Just started playing it for the first time as I had read and seen so many disastrous reviews of it at launch, but I have to say it's pretty good! The show is amazing as well, genuinely, so of course people are hopping back on. I think Fallout 76 is going to grab people's attention now in the way it hoped it had done right at launch.

@Divide_and_Wander personally think it's the best bunch of 3D platformers out there. Perfect level of difficulty progression too. Ready for people to fight me 🤣

Over COVID, MS Rewards is what paid for my game pass - it's saved me honestly hundreds of pounds. I'm genuinely not surprised it's being nerfed because they gave away years of subscriptions for essentially nothing. A real shame though.

Genuinely thought that was pretty good, most of them stood out to me!

Control was great - I used to be a games tester, and it's the one and only game that after testing it, I went home and purchased it immediately.

I would pay £5, not £10 extra a month. I don't understand how Ubi+ is about the same price, if not more than game pass...

I'm of the opinion that multiplayer games should ALWAYS be multiplatform. Single player games I do think should be case by case basis. If exclusives end up going to PS5 and Nintendo, there won't be that much incentive to have an XBOX console or Game Pass at all.

I'd love it if from the search function, you could have the filters; my partner is very picky when it comes to what type of game she wants to play with me, so if from the immediate search bar I could search for local multiplayer, whether its co-op or not, and if it's on game pass or not!

@Kaloudz I really do like FH5, it's just hard to think of it as much of an improvement over the others. Still had an amazing time with it and dip into it every now and then, but yeah if you've played 1, you've played them all

If it genuinely adds something to my gameplay experience, like a new storyline and achievements, then yes definitely, but for the most part, I just can't part with my money. I also can't just buy new DLC when it comes out, I tend to wait for sales, or even if the complete game becomes cheaper with the full package.

I'm just hoping for that handheld 😍👌

@Royalblues same here dude - Spyro year of the dragon was the first video game I ever played, and the first one I ever completed!

It's also still used at Harry Potter Studios!!

I feel like GWG needs to switch up their focus.

What if, instead of 4 games that no one really cares for a month, we get like a retro game we get to keep, 1 online multiplayer game to play (as you're paying for online services) and then 1 new indie game to help give developers a little bit of recognition?

I just think we as consumers know that gamepass has the games we want to play, so maybe GWG can give us new experiences? I dunno

I got myself every single Kingdom Hearts game other than 3 as it's on game pass! I've got covid, so isolation will help me get through all of them 😅

I wouldn't say I'm bored, but I also am surprised by how I've done all the main stuff already. I'm already in the hall of fame and my map is littered with 'new' labels everywhere I look.

I've been doing the seasonal events, races and objectives to like give me a reason to play, and by doing them it helps complete the events I haven't done yet, so that's one way I play the game with a reason.

I tend to buy DLC for games on gamepass with my rewards points - makes me feel like I'm giving something back to the developer in a weird way.
