@kuu_nousee Why not? We don't know yet what Sony is planning. And they're really not doing it just for Fromsoftware. Kodokawa has a lot more that fits perfectly within Sony. Anime is almost the largest provider in Sony. So that fits perfectly. And the games will probably just remain multiplatform. Experience has shown that that yields a lot of credits. And both Microsoft and Sony love that.

Well first of all there is only talk. And secondly there is a big chance that Sony will do exactly the same as with Bungie. Let's see if it will happen at all. And besides, Microsoft was also allowed to do it with Actibliz so where is it bad if Sony does it? And if MS had the chance to make CoD exclusive they would have done it right away.

@PsBoxSwitchOwner Because he can't stand it when Microsoft gets negative press. AkA fanboy. But I don't think Microsoft had any other choice. They're missing out on a ton of money by putting the new CoD on Game Pass, but they're obliged to do it. I'm curious what the future will offer. I think Microsoft itself (not Xbox) will just sell the next blanket. Simply because they really want to earn that 69 billion back. They haven't really been in the news in recent weeks and there are reasons for that.

But Marvel can't do that, Sony owns Spider Man and they really won't give that up given the success in films and games. And if Sony also bought the rights to, for example, X men (video games only then) that won't happen either. Sony is not stupid of course, so Nintendo and Sony don't need to put games on an Xbox at all. This is more about the goodwill factor.

Still I don't understand the problem. Suppose they discontinue hardware. Then, in theory, ga.epass would be available on Playstation and Nintendo consoles. Anyone who wants can purchase a PS5, 6, 7 or a Switch 2. And Xbox fans can simply play on a series X and the new Xbox "digital only". Microsoft continues with Game Pass and for those who only want to buy discs, there is also an option in this case. In other words, Xbox will continue to exist and all camps (disc and digital) are happy

What a crazy person! As I said before both Jim and Phill are worth nothing to the gaming industry. In itself it is a pity that a large number of readers of this site also worship this man. I am a Playstation fan myself. But purely because of the Sony exclusives. I don't care much for racing and shooting games. So in that respect Playstation suits me just fine. But I'm not into Jim Ryan at all. And I find Phil Spencer quintessentially underhanded American. Bah bah what nonsense is all put down here in that court case. Just make games. I don't think anyone, both ps fans and xbox fans, are waiting for this nonsense.

Turing the tides? you mean they can FINALLY show something after 5 years. I really like the Xbox optimism but come on. we already knew which titles microsoft has in production. So don't go shouting that a revolution is coming all of a sudden because this has been known for a long time.
