@Gabrie That would suck though I mean why does gaming need to go that way they are pricing themselves out of people hands!
They are only developing this new console for profit and money because most people who wanted a series s/x or playstation console have one by now!
If it wasn't all about profits this gen would be fit for purpose for a few more years for sure!

But like I've said before a lot of the criticism isn't just on the company Microsoft/Xbox it's aimed at the users aswell so people are going to respond to that when it's being made out like we are idiots who didn't see a price increase coming obviously not this big but Xbox gamers are being are made out to be idiots when obviously a price increase was coming literally everything in the world is getting more expensive!

@RiverGenie There's literally no point trying to make sense to some people the narrative is Xbox bad gamepass bad Xbox users silly to think gamepass would be so cheap for so long!
On push square we are being referred to as a cult or zealots for using Xbox and gamepass and they are making out like Xbox just shut up shop all together rather than this being a 10 quid bump in price to one tier of gamepass!
There a load of proper hate out there for Xbox/Microsoft there's a lot of joy about all this happening for some reason 🤷

For the price increase it's not worth it plus I don't play Fortnite at all!!
That said I'm having fun playing the wheel of fortune game and I'm playing through assassin's creed unity for the first time now and loving it!!
I'll at least get a couple of games to play out of it myself🤷
It's definitely a better addition over the Fortnite pass that's for sure ✌️

I'm enjoying my time with unity so far definitely doesn't play or look like such an old game!
And the 60fps update it great!

I'll be on assassin's creed unity feels great to play an old school creed game after so many years!
I'll also play some wheel of fortune and Helldivers 2 and maybe some cod beta!

I've enjoyed the little bit I've played so far but it's basically last year cod with a few slight tweaks!
That's not a bad thing though!

Id rather a full remake controls and all than another remaster of this game as it would be the third time it's been remastered/remade!
The original halo is good but very very dated no matter what bells and whistles you put in the visuals!

Best remake will be interesting metal gear remake was very good but like oblivion the performance isn't great!

I bought it a while back it's decent enough but not my type of game I never finished it 🤷

@Trmn8r I only played a couple games to me it was pretty much the same feel maybe if I play more I'll start to feel a difference!

It's basically the same as last year multiplayer but now you can kinda wall run/jump 🤷

Throw in a 2 month gamepass card with the case given some value and make people buy it!

@themightyant @Cikajovazmaj The service has gone from to good to pass up because of it's value for money to now where it's not an amazing deal anymore you can easily pass it up depending on what you see as value for money and obviously how much you actually spend gaming should come into it.
I'm lucky as my region it hasn't doubled in price and I take as much advantage of the rewards system as I can so I'm looking at about 8 quid back per month!
I totally that for some it's not value but in most regions it's not double price or 360 quid a year.

This is clutching at straws!!
I know it's a big bump in price but let's not pretend people will be eating out of a soup kitchen if they stay subscribed to ultimate!
The bump in price is basically the same you would pay for a coffee and roll out of a shop or a McDonald's!
Not great but Definitely not heartbreaking for me at least 🤷

@Decimateh Yeah I'd have to agree the price rise isn't great but it's not like it's a massive amount extra to pay basically the same price as a coffee and roll you could buy for lunch!
It's gone up by 10 quid for me and now I can earn up to 8 quid a month with reward points so it's not to bad.
After seeing how it actually works out with the new structure it's still value for money just not amazing value for money like before!

I mean take a stand if you like personally I'd buy as many as I could before that ratio for these change!

@Gabrie What you said is very true before gamepass was a great deal to good to pass up!!
Now it's a bit pricey especially without a definite roadmap of releases for the service ahead!
Before it didn't matter because of the price now you would kinda like to know before hand.✌️

Though these are good deals if you are to wait till the Christmas or better yet new year's sales your bound to get most of these games cheaper!

How many are indie or AA titles??
How many are 1st party studios who are the 3rd party studios involved?
The number of titles is impressive but at this point it's only a number 🤷✌️

@Fiendish-Beaver It hasn't been raised 50% in my region at least I was paying 15.99 euros it's gone up to 25.99 or 26.99 and with rewards for me I'd be looking at 8 quid a month so for me in my region it's not to bad a jump!
But it's still a hefty bump in price per month and a fair bit to much in my opinion!

At least I'll have one more cheap month left!

@Fiendish-Beaver Yeah I would agree with that obviously it wasn't profitable enough in it's old form for them to keep it going that's why they raised up the price of ultimate.
It's like literally everything the price is just going up and up for the same or less than you got before.

Why are they making this so complicated honestly!!
Not only charge more to actually access the beta itself but make it unnecessarily complex!

@Dimey Tbh if you're Xbox is just gathering dust then that explains why you don't have gamepass so long and as this is an actual Xbox fan site id say it's safe to assume most would probably have subscribed to some sort of gamepass tier!

It's definitely changing into a different animal alright with this restructure and come next gen I'm sure there will be more changes to it if not before!
For me Microsoft seem to really be pushing for cloud gaming and to be a subscription service/publisher and are only begrudgingly continuing to support there consoles and next gen will probably just be a pre built pc!
I love Xbox I prefer the ecosystem and controller and have my profile a long time but it's looking like if I just want a gaming "console" for next gen the new playstation will be the only one available!🤦

Even if you did comment about gamepass going to 40/50 a month you are still miles off the price is nowhere near that!

Looks like this story has gotten your attention though I've never seen so many comments from you about a single story ha!

I don't play Fortnite at all but I'll play a couple of the Ubisoft games a go mostly older ones and the smaller titles!
I'm staying with ultimate until the end of the year see how it works out considering the rewards points buff will work out around 8 quid a month for me!
I'll just see how it works out and if it will be value for money for my gaming habits!
But I'm in no way happy about the restructure!
Great for Ubisoft and Fortnite fans though🤷✌️
