Yes!!!! I told my son it was destruction derby before he could read. Lol. Was his first real game cause he could just sandbox crash ***** on lawnmowers without a care in the world. I think it helped his hand eye coordination. He will be stoked for this
@Drnsnsr I'm on the fence. The game industry is savage. But I've had the privilege of 'managing' a group of Teamsters. It was more like babysitting, their 'handbook' was gospel and it was borderline impossible to reprimand or fire the lazy ass people. Considering management doesn't get union protection it can be a stressful nightmare.
I think anyway you look at it the brand has taken a beating over this. Will be hard to sell consoles when, at the least, most of their 1ST party studios will port to Playstation. Exclusives have been an overall weak point for 2 generations. Gatekeeping a few of them won't move consoles. Indies will consider skipping the box altogether due to budget constraints. They have to either pick one or the other. All in on the brand as a console manufacturer or all out and strictly 3rd party dev and publisher. Anyway you look at it the silence is deafening and the brand is in trouble.
Makes me wonder if they had a port in mind the whole time. It surely didnt run well on current systems (minus 1x and Pro but even there it wasnt great) at launch and still struggles to hit 30fps.
Eternal Sonata was just an amazing game. Like a water painting come to life. I had so much fun playing it. I just wished i even knew where my copy was. Id by that game in a heartbeat off any of the stores.
I hope they have some single player focused new IPs...this gen wasn't great for their in house devs but i really hope whatever Double Fine is doing is awesome and that the Fable reboot is great. That alone would firmly make me a day one XsX. The BC aspect is cool and all but i bought less for Xbox this gen than any other so it doesn't affect me as much. But i always love an MCC run and RB6V
I feel like Phil knew if he failed that the "failure of Xbox" would be pinned on him directly. He took a smart approach for the most part. They didnt build Rome in a day kind of thinking. If he can get their 1st party studios back on track. Release a killer Halo (5 was trash sorry. Mp was great though), release a killer FABLE and let the new acquisitions (Double Fine etc.) take some risks and create some new IPs they should be good. The online structure has basically always been sound, Gamepass is a great feature and the communication is pretty good. Killer games Phil. I think he knows this
I kinda wanted it to be lol. I wanted to see who was the most blindingly diehard CDPR and Xbox fan....i still think it would have sold out. Ive never seen such blind fanboyism as that for CDPR lol
@IronMan30 well on the PS front you do need a ps4 for the majority. And there are no plans for release date parity on the small portion of the library that does make it to PC. So if you dont mind waiting a few years for some of Sony 1st party on your PC then, yes, you are good to go on both fronts for sure
@KelticDevil i didnt say the numbers were close. I said it didnt make sense for Sony to pay thru the nose or offer the service at a loss (thru promos) because they obviously dont need too and the PSNOW service, with much less subs, is much more profitable and that has been financially reported by places like WSJ and others. I also said Gamepass is a great service so im not sure what the complaining is all about. Its probably a good thing MS made such poor decisions this gen and took a decided back seat because gamepass as it exists today might not have happened.
@KelticDevil yea but part of the reason gamepass has so many subs is because of 1. Sales (i even had it when it was $1) 2. Xbox has been in faraway 3rd all gen and needed a boost. Im sure the cost of gamepass to MS and Xbox is very high. Its a great service dont get me wrong. But im sure Xbox paid thru the nose and still is to offer what they are offering. Why would Sony or Nintendo follow suit if they continue to be so popular because of what they already offer?
Cliffy. Get over yourself. The game was going to fail regardless. Technically and mechanically the game was very sound. But with ZERO charm and in a crowded market with more enticing lore and settings than what you offered
I need fable to be awesome. I've purchased every console launch day last 3 gens. This coming will be the 1st Xbox i don't buy. Dont get me wrong- Xbox did some cool and innovative things this gen but the failed pretty bad in the 1st party department.

Re: Bethesda's US Workforce Has Unionized To 'Set New Standard' For Game Developers
@Utena-mobile ESOPs are legit. I worked for one for about 4 years. I still get a chunk at 55 to put towards retirement lol

Re: PlayStation Exclusive 'Kena: Bridge Of Spirits' Rated For Xbox Series X|S
If you only game on Xbox GET THIS GAME. We'll worth it. Like playing Pixar brought to life. And it's a very challenging game at times.
Re: Hellblade 1's Director Is No Longer Part Of Ninja Theory, Confirms Xbox
@TheSimulator hey now...I put a lot of effort into making that inconspicuous lol
Re: Hellblade 1's Director Is No Longer Part Of Ninja Theory, Confirms Xbox
@Benjamin I wouldn't doubt it. Matt Booty seems to be pretty a$$ at retaining talent or keeping anyone on any semblance of a schedule
Re: Hellblade 2 Sounds Like A True Next-Gen Showcase In First Xbox Previews
I still just don't understand how 8 hours of game took this long. Regardless of graphical fidelity.
Re: Talking Point: Would You Be Interested In Microsoft's White Xbox Series X Revision?
@AnVold some would say a 3rd leg isn't useless at all 🫣🤫
Re: Ori Dev Criticises 'Senseless Arguments' Between Xbox & PlayStation Fans

Re: Talking Point: Do You Agree With The Highest-Rated Xbox Games On Metacritic?
I think more 1st party games needs to be on there and i think Phil and Co. would say the same thing. All 3rd party is not what they want.

Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite Halo Game Released To Date?
Favorite for SP and Story are 2 and 3. Best MP for me still without a doubt is Reach ( I also really enjoyed the SP portion as well)
