I own Series X, PS5 and a Switch. Switch is great for Nintendo exclusives, likewise for PS5 for Sony exclusives. Where possible though, I buy multi-platform games on Xbox. This is partly because I see Xbox as the āunderdogā compared to PS5, and Iād rather give them my money than to Sony š
Downloaded New World Aeternum last night, so look forward to playing that later today. Also playing Diablo IV Vessel of hatred, and mopping up straggler bots in the brilliant Astro bot.
I still regularly play this, mostly for the monthly open tour class races. I wish theyād mix things up a bit though, lately almost every race has been dry and sunny š Iām looking forward to Sunset Peninsula though - I used to like this track and havenāt raced on it in quite some time.
Have almost finished Star Wars Outlaws. The last couple of missions - which are heavy on stealth - are starting to drag. On the whole though I have enjoyed the game. UPDATE Doesnāt look like Iām going to finish it. Iām literally right near the end of the game - āRevelatorā mission - and my game has bugged š” Iām stuck in space, canāt fast travel anywhere, canāt use hyperdriveā¦so annoying. Itās quite ironic because Iāve hardly seen any bugs in my play through, then right at the end š
I finally caved this week and bought Space Marine 2. Never played the first one, but am enjoying this one so far. Graphics are really nice too, even in performance mode.
Iāve finished the bulk of Astro bot on PS5, just finishing the mini levels and mopping up missed bots on some of the main levels. Really good game, though donāt agree with Edge magazineās 10/10 score.
Am thinking of pulling the trigger on Parcel corps. Looks like a fun indie game, though the price - £30 - has surprised me a bit, so might wait for a sale.
Have also downloaded the trial of EAFC 25. Havenāt played FIFA/EAFC in years so am a bit rusty š
I finally pulled the trigger on this today! Have almost completed Star Wars Outlaws, so was looking for a new game to get stuck into. SM2 is now downloaded and ready to go! š
Still plugging away at Star Wars Outlaws on Series X. Have around 38 hours under my belt now, and even though Iāve thoroughly enjoyed the game I think Iām ready to move on, so will now concentrate on just the main quests. On PS5 Iām still playing the excellent Astro Bot. Iāve now saved around 210 bots, so still plenty to find. Iāve just bought indie game Caravan Sand Witch on PS5. Nice, chilled game to play, and loving the Mediterranean vibes.
Havenāt played COD in years, so not really interested. Could give it a go as itās on GP, but the install size always puts me off. I already have GP ultimate and keeping it, but thatās more for titles like Stalker 2 and MFS 2024.
Star Wars Outlaws (Series X). Clocked up around 30 hours so far and still enjoying it. Have only this week gone to Tatooine for the first time. Could have gone earlier but was saving it š saying that, I still havenāt gone to Mos Eisley yet - Iām saving that now š¤£
Astro Bot (PS5). Serious GOTY contender here. Iām only doing 1 or 2 levels a day, and just taking my time. Amongst all the family friendly levels there are some really tricksy ones too!
The Plucky Squire (PS5/PS+ extra) Really nice concept, and love the way the game seamlessly transitions between 2D and 3D. However, Iām not a fan of the word puzzles, which are very tiresome š„±
This is day 1 for me. Reduced install sizes are always welcome š glad theyāve reworked the āworld updatesā - that was a bit of a bugbear of mine in the last game.
Pretty much the same two games I was playing last weekend - Astro Bot (PS5) and Star Wars Outlaws (Series X). I want to buy/play Space Marine 2, but it will have to wait until I finish one of the other aforementioned games.
I was possibly interested in the PS5 Pro (I bought the PS4 Pro), but at Ā£700 which doesnāt even include a disc driveā¦PASS. Even if I could afford it, I canāt justify spending that much money on a mid-generation console.
Iāve done a lot of the (stealth) missions in Mirogana, so have probably done the one mentioned. However, I was doing another stealth quest on Akiva where you have to break into an Imperial base (the droidsmith quest) and just kept getting caught š” I ended up following a YouTube video on exactly what path to take š
Mostly jumping between Star Wars outlaws (Series X) and Astro Bot (PS5). Have played around 17-18 hours on SWO and am really enjoying it. Astro Bot was only released yesterday so have only played around 2 hours but itās been great fun so far. Trying to limit my gaming sessions on Astro because I know itās not a huge game and I donāt want to rush through it.
This is on my wishlist but I have too many other games to play right now, and the next few months looks stacked too. Maybe by the time thereās a lull in new releases this will be on Gamepass š
@Lup the Avatar game is nowhere near as good as Star Wars Outlaws, and I liked the Avatar movies. Avatar (the game) looks gorgeous, but thatās about it. I got bored with it very quickly. Obviously this is just my humble opinion, Iām just saying watch some YouTube videos first, or if you can try the game for free first do that. Glad youāre enjoying Star Wars Outlaws, Iām loving it so far.
Mostly playing Star Wars Outlaws, which Iām loving so far. It has a good balance of exploration, combat, and stealth, and I havenāt even done any space combat yet! Have mostly been doing stuff on Toshara (the windy planet), including side quests and unlocking abilities through the experts. Nix is quite cute, and often very helpful. This is the first game probably since Stellar Blade where I actually look forward to getting home and playing it š
Iāve been playing the Gold edition since Tuesday š Really enjoying it so far. Donāt know if Iāve just been lucky but havenāt had no bugs either, played around 6-7 hours.
This is definitely on my radar, though the next few weeks Iām gonna be busy with Star Wars Outlaws and Astro Bot. Saying that, if this reviews well I may not be able to wait š¤Ŗ
Unfortunately my TV doesnāt support the 40fps option š Iāve been playing in performance mode and havenāt really had any issues. Iām sure Ubisoft will be further optimising the game anyway. Another interesting point in the DF video was regarding the widescreen (21:9) picture option. If you use it in normal gameplay (it defaults to it anyway for cut-scenes) it seems you actually lose some of the picture. Rather than optimising the picture for widescreen, it seems Ubisoft have just slapped some black borders on the normal (16:9) image. The 21:9 option may look more ācinematicā, but Iām sticking with the 16:9 (fill screen) option.
A complete no-brainer for me. I like most Ubisoft open world games, and I like Star Wars. Have preordered the Gold edition, so will be playing it in the morning š
Iāll definitely play it at some point, but not at launch as itās release date sits between 2 other games Iāll be getting - Star Wars Outlaws and Astro bot.
Gutted, but thereās no shortage of new games between now and the end of the year - Star Wars outlaws, AC Shadows, Astro bot, MS Flight simulator 2024, Age of mythology, Black myth Wukong - to name but a few š¤·š»āāļø
Apart from my staple racing games - Forza Motorsport and EA WRC - I seem to be in something of a gaming rut at the moment. Recently tried Flintlock Seige of dawn and Kunitsu-gami path of the goddess, but just couldnāt get into either. Have now downloaded Lies of P and Callisto protocol, and will see how I get on with them. Thatās one of the great things about GP - being able to just try out different games and see what clicks.
How many āoverhaulsā has this game had now?!? š seriously though, I havenāt touched it in years - is it still welcoming to new or lapsed players, or will I find it overwhelming?
