I enjoyed playing through it but making the first boss so hard was a massive own goal. The game was easier at the end than the beginning besides one boss which makes no sense. I did love the mix of genres though and the gfx and performance were spot on. Looking forward to the DLC. More like this would be welcome.

@Evilinsane 5 or 10 mins a day will get you enough points to get ultimate GP every month. I know its not for everyone, but that's literally all it takes.

@Banjo- As soon as they made those Emu's available in retail mode this was always going to happen.
For all those looking for alternatives. Check out ETAPrime on youtube. If it plays it, he's probably reviewed it. Also look into Launchbox/Bigbox. Best way to experience retro games imo.

It was nice while it lasted. Last time I did it, it cost a month worth of GP after having the quid deal twice. Will try again when I run out and see what the conversion rate is. Hopefully just another month. If not, can't really complain. But I won't be paying the full sub price, just the odd month here and there when something I wanna play gets added. Cheers for the years MS.

@themightyant Microsoft is already gaining market share off Sony & Nintendo, and we haven't even really started to see the long terms effects from the Zenimax deal, this takes years to really take effect. Xbox doesn't need ABK to do it, they could have invested a fraction of $69bn into their own studios but they are being greedy.

I've said it before in another thread, can you imagine where MS would be if they were to put that kind of investment into their own IP's and studios. PGR, Kotor and Jade empire to name a few. That's how you build a solid fanbase and create a more level playing field. Dodgy business practices from both ends aside, Sony essentially earned their market share due to the release of two powerhouse consoles before MS successfully entered the console market.
When/If this deal goes through, a huge amount of previously multi-platform games will become exclusive and I, personally, as an almost 50 year gamer who loves games and not Companies, think that is really problematic for the gaming future.

@Banjo- No worries R'kid. I played it on Game pass when it first appeared, then bought it cheap in a sale as I like a good arcadey space shooter. Not enough of em.

Really wanted this day 1. Not for that price though. I've bought it too many times across the gens to be paying that price.

Never buy DLC for Motorsport as It's usually pointless unless you need to be seen on leaderboards. And Horizon, as good a game as it is, just becomes boring very quickly.

Put motorcycles in the games as DLC instead of stuff we've already seen. That's probably the only thing that would get me playing it again. And as others have said, stop throwing cars at you for doing very little. Over 600 cars and most people only ever try between 30-50. Or possibly do something a little like the Crew. Stick some race tracks around the map so folks can have track meets without having to buy Motorsport.

If you have noticed the xbox rewards have been getting ever so slightly harder to do over the last year or so. This year will be my 4th time subscribing to game pass. It will be interesting to see what the conversion rate will be this time. I've had two 1 pound deals and the last one cost a month of ultimate game pass. So I'm expecting a little more this time. Iooks like they are starting to try and get folks to sub the old fashioned way. By paying for it lol

@northernmonkey75 The extras are well worth checking out. Great game, i got it a year ago in a sale.

I have no dog in the race, I just like video games and have never been fussed who makes them. But can you imagine where Microsoft would be if they spent their 60 odd billion on some of the brilliant IP's they already own instead of trying to buy loads more. Food for thought eh.

@Banjo- Good deal, but the game is savage lol. I love dark Souls and Nioh, but Sekiro fights are just too long and parry-ridden. Still a good game though.

@Wheatly Tell me about it. The only BC games worth buying I don't already have never go on sale.

@JetmanUK I spent a lot on those same tables bud, money well spent. I love pinball and have spent hundreds of pounds across the different games, I still play all of them regular.

Yeah I have Zaccaria, as you say a little primitive but still fun to play. Been playing a lot of Stern recently. Can't get enough of ACDC premium

@Lup The software itself is perfectly legal but unless you own the games you play and have ripped them yourself then you are breaking the law. Retroarch uses cores for each system it emulates and there are 100's. The legal issues you could run into involve the games. PS2 uses Pcsx2 and i think somewhere in the region of 95% of the games run perfect and can be upscaled. Some of the games look amazing in 4k

Xenia is a long way off playing the full catalogue but I have 50 or so titles that run almost perfect for it. There are hundreds playable now, she's gettin there.

@Banjo- Don't think its supported through retroarch or at least it wasn't last time I looked. I have never used any emulators through my Xbox. prefer my PC for that stuff.

Will prob check this new one out for the new tables, but like most i dont wanna rebuy tables

@JetmanUK @Tasuki I have pinball arcade on the series x , 87 tables in all and there are still 5 or 6 that can be bought. I also have stern pinball on the series with same 11 as the switch. The only tables you cant get for pinball arcade is ACDC and 2 or 3 more. Pinball arcade on the PC has 100 tables

I've got it on good authority it will release on November the 12th this year....

@BBB it still hasn't been bettered in my opinion. Every Team and competition in the world, management mode and a great transfer market. All on a 2meg disk. Crazy when you think about it. The early Pes and Fifa games were good, but now they are just cash cows.

A new Punisher game would be good. Daredevil could be another. I'd even take Bwana Beast lol. 1000's of characters to choose from. I like most of the current one's , but it would be great to get something out of the blue.
Played Ultimate Alliance 3 on switch. Shame we didn't get that. It's good fun if your a fan of those games.

Fighters look like rubber and the movement is off. Thought this would be loads better.

Yeah mate i get you. It's more for people who are more invested, It's a no brainer if you get gold every year though. Good thing is having 3 years worth for price of 1 and a quid, all those reward points just go straight back into games i wanna own. I've made 200 quid in vouchers over last few years .

@Ralizah you should have stocked up your live to 3 yrs. Too late now, but when your 3 months runs out. Don't renew, let it run out. Then stock up your live, and then there will be a conversion charge. Can be as little as 1 pound or the equivelant of 1 month ultimate, 10.99 in UK. in 5 years i have paid 13.99 plus 5 years of gold from cdkeys at 37 a pop.

Sales were up last month from April. I don't think there's anything to worry about just yet. Remember we're not long out of the Pandemic. What is a surprise is that the PS5 had sold as many up until Dec 2021. Both over a million. Impressive considering the ***** show we've been through .

Dear oh dear. It's one thing that the lions share of AAA's come out unfinished and needing patches, but Pacman.....really. The game is 42 years old ffs.

Almost bought Gaiden Trilogy and Chorus, 2 weeks ago in the sale. But held off hoping they would come to Game Pass. Voila....
