All 50+ Backwards Compatible Games In This Week's Xbox Sales (March 14-21)

I would love to buy Spec Ops the line and Asura’s wrath, but they are not available in my region, Oh microsoft, why do you reject my money!? (At least I secured Enslaved and Killer is dead when I had the opportunity)

@AlienigenX Can't you change region and buy them, then use them on your own region? Look it up bud, I think you can.

@GarbonZoni I tried when they offered “Zone on the enders HD remaster” (wich is not available in my region either) I got into my phone and “purchased” it, it even download to my console, but didn’t launched, a banner pop up saying something like “this game is not available in the region”

I'm going to say it again, and probably get it in the neck again but, aren't Xbox One titles technically 'backwards compatible' too?
This is the first generation when I don't really feel I've bought a next gen machine - more like a graphics card update for existing games.

@Eejay I know what you mean, but a list with every single OG Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One game in the sale would be ridiculous. As someone who likes to buy really cheap older games, this list is perfect for me.
As for your second point, I think it's largely to do with the slow startup of next gen across the board. It's only this year really that we're starting to see more games that are only for next gen consoles. Redfall, Forza Motorsport and Starfield being the big 3 with possibly others in the not too distant future.

@ActionPanther Oh, definitely, the list is ideal how it is - I suppose I was just venting a bit 😀.
Technology plays into things as well - improvements are far more incremental these days, so console generational leaps like we seen from say, the OG xbox to 360 don't really happen now.

P4A being backwards compatible just confuses me how or why that was chosen over P4AU. But we have every version of SF4.

Part of me wishes I could download OG Xbox games to my OG Xbox and play them on it.

@Eejay @ActionPanther It's also because the backwards compatible program is a technical wonder that manages to translate Xbox 360 code to x86 language without impacting but even improving performance, while this generation consoles are built upon the last generation architecture. Original Xbox games (x86) are ported natively and included in the same program and Xbox One games are built in the same way as Series S|X games. Running Xbox 360 games on Xbox One this good took years.

@Eejay Yeah, we've definitely hit a technological plateau now. If you look at how games changed from 2003 to 2013 it was pretty dramatic. 2013 to now, not so much. I am eager to see how Unreal Engine 5 will change things though.

@Banjo- The Backwards Compatibility on Xbox is truly unparalleled. Being able to add classic games toy library for dirt cheap AND have them run better thant they ever have? Amazing.

@Banjo- Yeah, the very fact that there is a weekly list like this that features so many games is testament to that hard work.

@ActionPanther Exactly. Some of those games are gems impossible to play on other platforms and there are retro games from even before like the Daytona USA port. Wonderful 😊.

@Eejay Yep, especially the Xbox 360 games that run on abother architecture originally are a present from heaven.
