I'm not a fan of thanking inanimate objects for improving your mood. You improved your mood by diverting your thoughts to entertainment. Be thankful to yourself... And the fact that it was an Xbox 360 doesn't matter. The same thing happens with books, movies, TV shows, sports, or other hobbies...
I think I'm in a very small group, but once my Game Pass Ultimate expires next year, I will switch to Essential just to keep Online multiplayer for games I play (which is mostly Elden Ring Nightreign now).
I know that the value of GPU is incredible, but nowadays I'm extremely picky with games. The only games I tried and enjoyed were Expedition 33, Silksong and new Doom, so technically I could buy these games only instead of having GPU, but well.
Sadly, that's the future of entertainment industries. AI generated music, movies, games, books...
And already I didn't enjoy any entertainment released during and post covid pandemy years (except maybe few games, suprisingly most were made by Asian studios).
At least there are tons of old games, movies, books and tv series that I didn't see yet. This should be enough for my lifetime...
Hybrid device will most likely result in limited performance. Unless its some kind of external screen/tablet device with capability of using Xbox Cloud but this would increase the price of console drastically. I don't think that would be a wise move... these should be two separate consoles tbh.
I don't even need anything crazy. Just give me a console which delivers 120fps for all new games, have backwards compatibility with all previous systems and maybe some extra features co-developed with Valve, like streaming Steam games on Xbox console through a Steam Link like app. I believe my wishlist is pretty reasonable.
@Cakefish UK is not that bad. In Poland we have same prices (also 80$ for Nintendo 2 games or Outer Worlds 2) but our minimal & average wages are two times lower than in most countries with these prices (US, UK, Germany, etc.), so...
My current routine is 1 or 2 matches in Elden Ring Nightreign, and then few hours of Expedition 33 everyday. Nothing more than that, I don't like playing too many games at the same time.
Also, I don't want to assume that this was secretly a timed exclusivity deal. This is not the first developer complaining about XSS performance (best recent example - Baldurs Gate 3).
@Kaloudz I played Wukong on PC and its basically an action game with some elements known from soulslike genre. It's way easier than all Dark Souls/Elden Ring/Lies of P games. Maybe a bit harder than regular action games on normal difficulty (God of War, Devil May Cry, etc.) but nothing too crazy.
@Juanalf You are right, it won't turn PC players into XBX players, but it will help decide console players in general choose between Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft, because with one hardware (cheaper than gaming PC), you will have access to both Xbox and Steam library.
@Cakefish The problem is that Steam games also have MP/COOP modes. These are blocked on Xbox games if you don't have a GamePass. If they allow Steam games to be downloaded and played without a GP, then players would buy games on Steam instead of Xbox storefront, because they would be able to play MP/COOP without subscription. And making these MP/COOP modes locked behind GP on Steam is 100% impossible to do (every developer would need to update all their games with that feature in mind).
It's not a bad design, but not for me. My XSX is in vertical position, and the top (which is black and green inside) is exposed. This would look bad. Maybe once they make some green-ish Halo/sci-fi design I will consider.
@Lightning720 Sure, I'm optimistic that I'm gonna like Starfield. However, that's not enough to pre order an expansion or pay for early access. And sadly as poll shows most people think differently and it encourages companies to do stuff like that.
I'm always surprised how people are looking for any excuse to spend money. ''But it includes Expansion"! Yeah, but how do you know you are gonna like the game? Or how do you know that it's gonna be in a good/playable state? Just be cautious guys.
1. Resident Evil 4 / Dead Space - both are great, can't decide which one is better 3. Diablo IV - great game, definitely gonna check the incoming Season 1 4. HiFi Rush - more surprises like that please 5. Monster Hunter Rise - worse than World, but still 200h of good time for me, 6. Street Fighter 6 - it's great, but I'm so bad in fighting games so can't fully enjoy it 7. Hogwarts Legacy - nicely done game, bit overrated, sometimes boring 8. Ghostwire Tokyo - good, new franchise, bit repetitive, sadly it's not the Evil Within 3 9. Atomic Heart - just a good game, but one playthrough is enough, probably I won't touch any dlcs 10. Wo Long - not as good as Sekiro, I did enjoy it for ~6 hours and deleted it.

'This product is unavailable in your region' - yay, pretty cool from Meta and Xbox...
Re: PS5's Stellar Blade Could Move To Switch 2, But What About Xbox?
There are too many games to care about some exclusives not coming to Xbox. I can live with that.
Re: Opinion: The Best Call Of Duty Of The Xbox One Era Hits Game Pass Later This Month
From the Xbox One era I prefer Modern Warfare 2019, but this one is not bad.

Re: Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Hits Huge Sales Milestone As Crash 4 Joins Xbox Game Pass
I didn't like the Nitro-Fueled that much. I guess I'm too spoiled with MK8.
Re: Talking Point: Would You Like To See A New Type Of Forza Game In 2026?
New Horizon or something arcadey in Trackmania or Mario Kart style would be fun.

Re: The Witcher 4 Will Be 'Extremely Challenging' To Run At 60FPS On Xbox Series S
Give players a choice. 60 fps with mid-low graphical settings or 30 fps with default settings on XSS.

Re: These 40+ Games Are Coming To Xbox Next Week (June 16-20)
@TapeLoader And developers are threatening that due to subscriptions like game pass we will get less games. Yeah, sure...
Re: Here's What Might Leave Xbox Game Pass In July 2025
Neon White is a must play imo. I recommend trying it.
Re: Surprise! Black Myth: Wukong Finally Has A Release Date For Xbox
I'm just sad that there is no mention of physical Xbox release yet. I mean, PS5 got one so I hope they won't disappoint us...

So now I'm gonna have it on Xbox Gamepass, PC Gamepass, Steam and Epic Store Games. Yay!

Great game. I'm guilty of completing it in one day on the release date...

If the title was 'Uncharted', instead of '007', I would believe it...
Re: Talking Point: What Game Franchises Would You Pay $80 For On Xbox?
Only Rockstar and FromSoftware games. The only two developers left which consistently make great games for several years...

Well, all they need to earn $$$ from that is to gatekeep Steam behind Game Pass.

Re: Talking Point: Are You Looking Forward To The New Forza Motorsport This Year?
I will definitely play it day one on GP. And yeah, I feel like Redfall had way bigger hype than FM
