When it comes to the big, wide world of YouTube, there are a few names that we're particularly fond of in the gaming space, and one of those is My Retro Life - an awesome channel featuring tons of old-school home video footage.

It's run by a guy named Tyler, and his dad captured a lot of the footage back in the '80s, '90s' and '2000s, some of which we've highlighted here at Pure Xbox before (his video of the original Xbox launch day has attracted massive attention).

To celebrate the Xbox 360's 20th anniversary this Saturday, Tyler's shared a new video about how the Xbox 360 helped him "process grief and find peace again" when his dad passed away during that console generation, and it's an excellent watch that dives deep into classic games like Mass Effect, Left 4 Dead and even Rock Band.

Here's how he describes it:

"In this episode of My Retro Life, I look back at the Xbox 360 games that helped me process grief and find peace again — from Mass Effect’s emotional story to the simple joy of Rock Band nights with friends. These are the games that carried me through one of the hardest chapters of my life."

We're not affiliated with My Retro Life in any fashion, but we're definitely fans of the channel and what he's doing over on Patreon as well, so we always appreciate the opportunity to throw some love his way.

Of course, there's plenty going on for the Xbox 360's 20th anniversary here at Pure Xbox this week too, including features, retrospectives, polls and various bits of news coverage. It's a big birthday after all!
