Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Hits Huge Sales Milestone As Crash 4 Joins Xbox Game Pass

After almost six years on the market, Activision has announced that its 2019 kart racer Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled has sold 10 million units worldwide across all available platforms, including Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

In just four days' time, this CTR remake will hit its sixth anniversary, with the game also joining Xbox Game Pass late last year in the wake of Xbox's ActiBlizz deal going through. This is a big milestone, so congrats to the team for such an achievement!

This news also happens to have landed on the eve of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time joining the Game Pass library as well. As we've covered elsewhere, Crash 4 hits Xbox Game Pass today alongside two brand-new day one releases as Microsoft builds out the service for June 2025.

It's good to see so much Crash activity on Xbox these days, but what's next for the former PlayStation-exclusive mascot? While another proper entry is up in the air right now, we would like to see some attention given to these older titles. Both CTR and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy remain 30FPS experiences on Xbox, so what better excuse to roll out 60FPS updates for these titles? We'd love to see that in the future!
