360 WaW is hacked beyond belief, far beyond even what 360 BO2 is. You can have your prestige level set to a negative amount that bars you from even accessing the matchmaking. That would be a giant PR headache for MS to deal with lots of complaints by people that didn't know what they were getting into.
I really don't see them going that route. IW maybe, since other than some out of bounds glitches it's fairly solid, but no way on WaW.
It's important to remember online play has no cross platform support, so you'll only be facing users on that console's online ecosystem. Xbox will have only a tiny pool of players compared to the other three.
MS has made no attempt to add a sales tab or even a mention of the sale anywhere on the 360 dash. Kinda stupid if you ask me, you'd think they'd at least replace that gigantic "GOLD" banner or add the sales tab back that existed when games with gold was alive.
Putting any 360-era CoD on there would be a bad PR move, shining a gigantic spotlight on how they can't or won't fix the broken online modes.
Imagine WaW going on there, then the first day thousands of people are having their rank reset to a negative number where they can't even access the online functions anymore.
Even if this was implemented this second it would do zero for removing cheaters. Multi-platform releases with crossplay almost always have Xbox as the smallest userbase, so the vast majority of your opponents will still be on a platform with cheating hardware/software.
Like most people have mentioned, if I can't use my fight stick on Series X I just won't buy any fighting games.
Waste time developing a mode like this yet we can't get basic match options that wouldn't take 5 seconds to implement. They won't do something as simple as turning off DQ's in a match, yet we get this.
Some of my favorite games are 360-only, which is the reason I still have my 360 hooked up. It's definitely sad to know that DLC and games without a physical release will never be available to future players.
I don't understand why companies don't take advantage of announcements like this with sales or other types of promotions. If you have a digital only release (or DLC) on the marketplace that's going to be delisted within a year, you'd be a fool not to mark it down and move as many copies as possible. Even if you marked it down by 90%, that's still going to make more money than it would otherwise.
Meanwhile Fight Forever doesn't even have the ability to turn off DQs, rope breaks, or countouts during exhibition matches, and only supports 1v1 ladder matches. Pitiful.
@Green-Bandit Oh yes, those are hard ones, along with the wave 30 survival mode one. All require you to repeat specific blitz moves rather than play the game organically like you normally would. For the perfect one, play with Floyd on easiest and only use his standing shock special.
With all the talk of Gamepass I've never seen someone cite specifics of how it works. Does MS just pay a flat rate to have it for X months, do they pay a commission per download, or how exactly is their payment decided?
@Tharsman A $40 Wingman XB (or XB2) will do just that, there's no reason to buy one of these controllers. The amount of things you can do with that adapter are amazing, including using a Series X controller on a 360. Playing 360 fighters with an actual working d-pad is a nice feeling.

Re: Black Ops 6 Biggest Ever Call Of Duty Launch, According To Microsoft CEO
@BacklogBrad That right there can't be stressed enough. If this (or Warzone) were on Switch it would be a license to print money.

Uh...
It's free on Netflix. Maybe that has a factor.

Re: Samurai Shodown's Delayed Update For Xbox Series X|S Is Now Available
@sixrings As much as I adore Shodown, those load times are just beyond unacceptable. Fighters on the Sega CD and PS1 aren't as bad as this.
Re: Killer Instinct: Anniversary Edition Announced For Xbox And PC
So the XB1 version of KI is rated Teen, but the emulated original coin op is Mature?
That's absurd.
