Re: Talking Point: Would You Mind If The Next Xbox Was A Portable Console?

AshKirin19

@abe_hikura Not the only place. Emulators are far more powerful and accessible than the switch. Why TF would I pay $200+ for the Switch when I could get an emulator for less than a quarter of that price if not free AND play past and current games all at a better graphical quality? Never bought a Switch and will never buy one. I'm happy to play my emulators on my phone if I need something portable.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Mind If The Next Xbox Was A Portable Console?

AshKirin19

@rustyduck Dramatic much? But seriously, how have you "suffered." I swear gamers are some of the most dramatic spoiled brats ever. If a dev even thinks of not having hyper realistic ultra high fps, gamers go freakin rabid. Just enjoy the games and be happy. It's a console, not an ex lover who cheated on you with your best mate then moved out and took the dog.

Re: Talking Point: Do You Actively Avoid Xbox Games With Massive Download Sizes?

AshKirin19

I don't think there's any reason to actively avoid them. I just play whatever. It's annoying to not be able to have the same scope of selection I used to but I've also been focusing more on specific games nowadays. On my 360 I had basically every game I owned downloaded to the console now I only have about a tenth of the games I own downloaded. I'm not paying the absolute highway robbery for cloud gaming either.

Re: Poll: Star Wars Fans, What Do You Think Of The Battlefront Classic Collection?

AshKirin19

It's decent. Not the best, not the worst. I think people are always going to hate on stuff this big, especially remasters, reboots, remakes, etc. While there were some pretty big missteps like using a modders work, promising to not use it and then using it anyway, I feel like it's enjoyable as long as you're not nitpicking small. I had a blast playing it years ago and I'm still having fun with this one.

Re: Talking Point: Xbox Fans, Are You Still Enjoying Halo Infinite In 2024?

AshKirin19

@Ricky-Spanish What do you mean proper Halo? This is probably the most proper Halo we've gotten from 343. 4 was ok, but didn't really do anything super well and felt bland. 5 was less ok but still fun. It hopped on the advanced movement trend of the time with games like Titanfall and CoD having similar movement style. But Infinite is a return to form with a modern twist that's very well done. If leaning to much towards the sweaty competitive side of things.

Re: Talking Point: Xbox Fans, Are You Still Enjoying Halo Infinite In 2024?

AshKirin19

@TheSimulator I don't know what you're talking "killed" Halo isn't dead. Far from it. Just say you don't like it. It really isn't Xbox's fault either. It's more just greed. Live service models kill themselves so fast. And with how 343 dropped the ball on new content, it's no wonder players jumped ship. But dead? Hahahaha if Halo is dead then my name is Phil Spencer.

Re: Talking Point: Xbox Fans, Are You Still Enjoying Halo Infinite In 2024?

AshKirin19

@abe_hikura Yeah, I still have CoD and Halo downloaded but will probably just give up on even thinking about going back. I'll give the new CoD this year a try as it's a Treyarch game and their games are always solid but multiplayer has gotten too damn competitive. 90% of my teammates in every match on both Halo and CoD have TTV in their names and I get that it takes a good amount of skill to play like that but it's not fun when that's a REQUIREMENT to even get a single kill. Streamers and wannabe pros have ruined games by forcing everyone to stick with the meta and play with specific settings. And you really are forced, otherwise you literally can't compete. And then those same sweat players also are the ones who buy $20 crap skins.

Re: Talking Point: Xbox Fans, Are You Still Enjoying Halo Infinite In 2024?

AshKirin19

While I enjoy the gameplay itself, I can't play fps games anymore. The players are all way too sweaty, over competitive toxic morons. Can't play anything without some wannabe pro playing like he's in a million dollar tournament. I feel like Halo has this to a lesser degree than the likes of CoD but it's enough that I'm still put off by it. Today's gamers take themselves way too seriously and forgot how to have fun.

Re: Talking Point: 10 Years Later, What Do You Think Of 'The Master Chief Collection' In 2024?

AshKirin19

@nomither6 And this is why point WHY do you think it's garbage? You only give vague notions that means nothing. What did 343 do that Bungie did better? If you can't actually make a single aspect then don't bring it up. Also you completely fail to see the point of me bringing up Destiny. Bungie left Halo to develop Destiny. It was an exercise in "what if." And no, it is nothing like comparing Mario games. As the games you named are two very different games. Halo and Destiny are both modern next shooters with millions of active players. 343 Halo games are modern by virtue that they follow the same trends all modern games do. Do you even understand Halo's origin? Do you even know the name Quake? Ever heard of Arena shooters? CE was an innovation of the classic arcade arena shooter. Every game since has been a further innovation and adaptation of that genre for modern players. I absolutely love people like you. Whining about something but never actually giving reasons on why you don't like it beyond "it's different."

Re: Talking Point: 10 Years Later, What Do You Think Of 'The Master Chief Collection' In 2024?

AshKirin19

@nomither6 This is an attitude I don't get. It's just so childish to me. What do you not like about them? I've asked this question a few times and nobody can give me a response beyond waxing nostalgic about the old days. 343 have brought Halo into the modern age and stopped it from falling into antiquity. Much like a person restores old furniture. No, it's never going to be the same, and maybe they've screwed up. But look at Destiny. It's a p2w mess with players gatekeeping harder than Halo fans. Unless you're willing to invest hundreds, maybe even thousands of dollars and hours, you're going to get crushed. Halo is much easier to get into while still requiring actual skill to be good at.

Re: Even The AEW Champion Thinks Xbox Vs. PlayStation 'Arguments' Are Ridiculous

AshKirin19

@Ichiban I don't really understand your comment. You're trying to compare old consoles which pioneered various aspects of the industry against modern consoles which are improving on those aspects. It's like comparing a mud brick hovel to a skyscraper. We learned how best to stack bricks and then improved upon that technique. The Series X and PS5 are not as unique or innovative because gaming is now a huge industry utilizing technology that's already become commonplace in gaming where the PS1 and N64 were not just improvements but also innovations. Of course the argument has become stupid.

Re: Poll: How Many Xbox Games Have You Actually Bought In 2023?

AshKirin19

@Serpentes420 For me GP is useless. It's got a tiny handful of decent games. And besides, you don't own those games. I'll stick to actually owning the games I play, thanks. If your subscription runs out and you can't renew it for whatever reason, then you now have no access to those games or if your Internet goes out. But I can still safely play any of my games offline and with no subscription needed.

Re: 'Red Vs. Blue' Halo Web Series Announces The Final Season, Airing This Fall

AshKirin19

@Retron I don't get the hate for Infinite. It's literally just an updated Halo game. It's a great game with great feeling gameplay. Yes, the devs have not delivered on their promise of content but it's not as bad as BF2042 or CoD. And that's coming from a long time CoD player.

The players that want to stay in MCC can, but I tried. It was terrible. Definitely did not have the same feel as the original games. Horrible connection, hard to use UI. I played the campaigns and wow, the CE campaign was clunky and just confusing to navigate.
