I was thinking of buying a 360 (landlord stole one I previously / contemporarily had) just for NBA 2K9. (The current and recent iterations of NBA 2K suk IMO.)
Can’t believe the hype this game is getting. I have no such interest (though admittedly has a bit to do with such a backlog of games, for all three brand consoles no less).
Something for everyone. And all the better if helps keep Xbox brand viable with increased Game Pass subs as well as standalone purchases including bonus content.
Almost 2/3 so far in poll choose Red Dead. Hard to believe, though many probably lost interest in GTA since the next release may be on the successor to the successor of the Series X | S.
Basically pissed away $70 each of the last 4 years on NHL. This time going to wait for the free trial (hopefully will get with EA Play included with Game Pass), then will wait for a 40% off sale — IF is even worth buying at the discount.
>99% of my gaming is single player (I have only just recently started a tiny bit of online multiplayer if there is a specific Microsoft Rewards incentive). Mainly because I suck compared to many others. Guess that makes me safe lol.
There are many kids / teens / immature young adult gamers who are sore losers. Could definitely see such persons filing false reports on someone.
One would think that Microsoft by now would have advanced enough monitoring / AI which can tell what is a legitimate violation, and what is not (given its program of ChatGPT).
Can’t imagine what must be like to lose hundreds / thousands of dollars of games one paid for (my games are all digital purchases). Potentially priceless game progress saves as well.
@robe They sure did. At least the in early production. I don’t know how to post images here, and don’t want to have a link moderated / flagged, but images of controllers can be seen with the sticks (and also without - seemingly with no hole to insert, as you may be used to) by doing image web search.
Maybe a tiny bit off-topic. Thinking out loud and reminiscing.
When I got my Sega Master System, the box was missing the tiny screw-in sticks for the controller D-pad. I wrote a nice letter to Sega (no internet then) with explanation and request.
Several weeks later, I got a padded envelope in the mail with a pair of the tiny sticks enclosed.
Wonder if would have the same success today with say a missing trivial item such as AA batteries (Xbox), or USB cable (PlayStation)?
Compared to the X360 / PS3 generation, I hardly notice any improvement of graphics / frame rate performance on today’s consoles. (I do have a 4K OLED TV.)
No way I would go for any mid-generation refresh based upon such. However, what could entice me is increased internal storage. “Could” as my 2TB external HDD still works fine for storing my game library overflow.
MLB 23, Madden 23, as well as a few (other) Game Pass titles including Screamrider of which compiling stats for achievements to obtain daily 50 point Rewards.

Re: Microsoft Now Selling Xbox Controller Replacement Parts
@BAMozzy I was a kid then and didn’t think of asking my parents about going back to the retailer or needing the receipt to be handy.
The cost of the sticks and postage / envelope all being around just a dollar probably helped as well.
Today, I would definitely go one of the routes you mentioned.
Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Be Interested In Buying A New Xbox Series X Model?
Will probably get much flack for this

Re: Xbox Has Released A Minecraft 'Creeper' Themed Mini Fridge
I’d rather have a 2TB Series X console.

Re: Microsoft Announces Price Increases For Xbox Series X And Xbox Game Pass
Maybe no Series X increase in the U.S. as many consoles sold with the $60 bundle ‘tax’ anyway.
As for Game Pass Ultimate, I haven’t paid for in a while, instead using Microsoft Rewards.
