Once you've done that, go back and count how many times you said the words 'creators', 'players' and 'grow'. It was almost as if you are desperate to convince people it will grow. Just like when you said 'TV' a gajillion times when launching the XBone.
Just start off by releasing at least 5 non-Forza games that are genuinely worthy of 85+ metacritic scores. Show us that, after 10 years of false hope and empty release schedules, you are actually still capable of producing great games.
@Scottwood101 I would recommend starting at the beginning. Sure, it may seem clunky by modern standards, but as @NEStalgia points out, it's the introduction to the series and defines the Assassin's Creed, and the objectives had a stealthy assassination focus that has apparently drifted since.
I don't normally play games for their stories, but I got really into the game towards the end because the story/concept behind the Creed struck a unique chord with me that I never expected from a video game. A phrase from that game has been in my online signature ever since.
Fwiw, I'm only halfway through the Ezio Collection, so haven't played any of Revelations, III, IV, Rogue, Unity, Syndicate, Origins, Odyssey or Valhalla yet, but my vote went with the original AC, because it has such an impact. The games after it have only iterated on that so far as I can see. But I do own a copy of all of them up to and including Origins so far, so I'll play them all some day...
So this 'play as anyone'... can I be an old granny, or a heavily obese person, or are the population just generic models with different hair and clothes?
@NEStalgia I went to an all-boys school, so that kinda talk was fairly standard. Wiktionary.org and the Urban Dictionary both include 'homosexual male' as one meaning (among others) for the word bummer. So if a bummer bums you, and you didn't want to be bummed, then the experience might have been a bit of a bummer. That was my logic.
And I was intrigued that a public figure would use the word, given the above connotation and the potential for grief nowadays from people claiming it to be a derogatory word, but it doesn't bother me. Anything goes in my world.
Where does the word 'bummer' sit in today's woke world? I always assumed it came from the feeling of dejection one could possibly feel having just received a non-consensual visitor via the back passage.
On the delay... On the one hand, it reinforces my point a week or two ago about not pimping your ** until she's got her makeup on. Why did they feel a need to pimp HI in July if it wasn't ready?
But yes, it is encouraging to see them take the hit and hopefully release a finished game, rather than rush out something not ready.
@armondo36 Rule #1: Don't pimp your ** until she's got her makeup on.
My view (I've only ever really played Halo: CE, first on og Xbox and then on X1X, and I've only watched the gameplay for Infinite on my 6" phone screen):
The gameplay I saw looked very familiar, very reminiscent of Halo: CE. Obviously better, and bigger, and sharper, but because it's so familiar looking, it doesn't really wow me as a next-gen launch title.
To me a launch title needs to be either something completely new, or something significantly different to its earlier iterations.
The fact Microsoft are leaning quite heavily on Infinite only serves to remind me that they are very much playing catch-up in terms of having a stable of leading IPs. They should be launching with a different title as their tentpole, but they can't, because they've let their games development slide so badly in recent years.
Everything about the Sony presentation was just a bit weird. The setting, with the fake audience, Cerny's hair, Cerny's delivery (though to be fair, he did a decent job of maintaining the flow and I watched the whole thing without drifting off), the amount of time talking about SSDs, the number of acronyms.
Unsurprisingly, both presentations left me more interested in the next gen than I was before. The 3D audio was getting me hyped until Cerny said they were really only at the start of the journey.
I don't expect to buy either at launch still, but if Xbox backwards compatibility expands to include Project Gotham Racing then I would think seriously about XSX if the price is within £400.

Define 'technical leap'.

Re: Poll: How Many Xbox Consoles Have You Owned In Total?
Technically 3, but I sold my One S after acquiring a One X.
The other one is the R2-D2 360. A treasure.

512gb!?
I've got more storage than that in my pants!

Don't be a **** Phil, let us Xbox One X players play it too.
Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Gets A Release Date, Official Gameplay Footage
Is it just my phone? Why was everything so dark all the time? Even when there was daylight everything looked dark. Is it just cos I don't have HDR?
Re: The Official Box Art For LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Has Arrived
What is that ship in the top left corner? I don't recognise it.

I am on the side of "if they were confident of 60fps they'd have said so".

They have my attention.
Re: This Is The Final Limited Edition Xbox One X That Will Ever Be Released
45,000 units? That'll last a few years I imagine.
