It's been a wild few days for Xbox Series X and PS5 news, hasn't it? We here at Pure Xbox have only just launched our brand-new site (tell your friends!), and we've already been thrown into the thick of it. We wouldn't have it any other way though -- this has been a really great week for Microsoft and Xbox Series X, with the company treating us to a ton of exciting details about its upcoming system.
Sony had its own reveal event in the form of yesterday's PS5 deep dive, but putting it mildly, it didn't go so well. Instead of an exciting feature reveal like many casual viewers had anticipated, Sony basically delivered the equivalent of a GDC talk, going in-depth on tech aspects that the majority simply didn't care for. As a result, there was a fair bit of disgruntlement from many PS5 fans across the web last night.
But we've already talked about that elsewhere. What we really want to know is whether your opinion has changed based on what you've seen over the past few days. Has the PS5 deep dive soured your desire to remain part of the blue brand next-gen? Has Microsoft done enough to convince you that Xbox Series X is the way to go, or do you still have a bunch of questions that need answering?
Maybe you just want to wait for more games announcements, which is totally understandable. We're still very much in the dark in regards to key aspects such as specific release dates and pricing, which are bound to have a major effect on the next generation. Hopefully we won't have to wait long to find out more.

Massive W for XBOX.
You guys really did pick the perfect time for a return. Since Pure Xbox returned it's felt like E3! Haha
With Microsoft's Game Stack and the PS5 Deep Dive I've been glued to the laptop, I love it!
I don't think it's changed my opinion because I was getting an Xbox anyway.
Getting the Series X day one due to backwards compatibility and multiplats most likely looking better. Will pick up the PS5 after its first price drop, I'm guessing. Really impressed by Sony's SSD technology, but that's about it. I've always only picked up Nintendo consoles day one, but the Series X is going to be the first to break that rule. What a machine. <3
Unsurprisingly, both presentations left me more interested in the next gen than I was before. The 3D audio was getting me hyped until Cerny said they were really only at the start of the journey.
I don't expect to buy either at launch still, but if Xbox backwards compatibility expands to include Project Gotham Racing then I would think seriously about XSX if the price is within £400.
Sony doing themselves no favours this gen, just like xbox did last gen when they first announced you couldn't trade games.
I think this gen will be more evenly contested especially now we live in a world of cross platform online games.
It's going to come down to console exclusive games to settle this gen.
I started falling asleep during Sony's presentation, and I haven't seen Xbox's yet so it's not like either changed my opinion. lol.
But I know that my sister and I are definitely getting an Xbox SX. Tbh, there are a few exclusives on PS that I wish were on Xbox but being able to enjoy many games that we missed out on from last gen, and hearing about how important Backwards Compatibility is to Xbox, I'm totally committed.
I intend to own both anyway. If anything, it made me think the Series X will be the one to get first BUT as their is still plenty of time between now and launch, things 'could' change.
Lets put it this way, yesterdays PS5 deep dive didn't make me want to rush to buy it more than the Series X and with only 'Godfall' announced as a PS5 exclusive (I know others are rumoured/expected/predicted) at/around launch, Its not a game that I want and Series X has more titles I am interested in.
It looks an impressive bit of tech and will get one but right now, the Series X seems more likely to be bought first...
It did change my mind. Before the deep dive, I thought Series X was a monster. After it, I think it's a monster that Eats Monsters For Breakfast.™
No didn't change my mind really. The series X will be a beast but still not compelled to get one.
I voted no because I've bought every Xbox console and was likely to get a Series X at some point, even if not launch day. The only thing that PS5 'deep dive' did was make me question if I'm going to get that console within the first 3 years. Right there is nothing about it that has me hyped and I hate saying that because I'm a huge PlayStation fan.
