Re: MLB The Show 21's Xbox Release Appears To Have Been A Major Success For Sony

@mousieone Hrrrm, yeah, you raise a good point. I thought it had begun development as a Sony funded game. A proposition I have is that it was in development for both consoles, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. However, when Sony secured the rights, it was so that it would remain exclusive for one year upon release, and then the (still developed) Xbox and PC versions would come out.

Regardless, it is now in fact a Microsoft property, so I do retract my initial claim. However, we still haven't seen sales figures post release, but I do believe it will do decent enough! I'm pretty thrilled to play it, Arkane got me hooked since Prey.

Re: Former PlayStation Exec Shares Concerns With Xbox Game Pass Model

It may not be as sustainable as we think, but man, does it create a good word of mouth for Xbox. Game Pass is a wonderful service, and I fully expect Sony to have some competitor to it within the next two years. Also, David Jaffe may be an ex lead developer of a worldwide studio for Sony, but he hasn't been in that position in years. He's also a bit of a controversial figure as he'll make bold claims without any sort of backup.
