As you've probably already seen, Big Walk is one of the huge indie successes of 2026, recieving ridiculously high review scores and being rated by Metacritic as the fourth best game of the year as things stand.
With PS5 and Switch 2 versions already on the market, it's only natural that Xbox fans have been asking when it's their turn to get the game on Series X and S, but unfortunately that's not going to be happening.
All of this is explained in a statement by developer House House, which says that because Microsoft is a target for a Palestinian-led movement called BDS, they wish to avoid shipping on the Xbox platform.
Here's the full statement:
House House is a relatively new developer that's only released three games to date, although their previous title was made available on Xbox back in 2019 in the form of Untitled Goose Game. Some people have suggested the studio should also be pulling that game off Xbox based on their statement, although it was released over five years before Microsoft was declared a priority BDS target, and they don't actually publish their own games either.
If you still want to play Big Walk on an Xbox-related device, the ROG Xbox Ally is your best bet. It's available to buy on Steam if you're on PC, along with the eShop for Switch and PlayStation Store for PS5.
