I'd love to see Halo and Fable ported for Switch 2. Recent reports suggest if it's on the XS it shouldn't be a difficult port to S2. Without suggesting they're on par, it sounds like the S2 has the tech to help get it 'close enough.'
If Halo MCC was ported, and maybe a Fable 1-3 collection, that'd probably drive the hype towards the next games and provide another instal base for MS to sell.
Wishful thinking from a fan of these franchises that stopped upgrading my Xbox. If Xbox as a whole is going more and more multiplat, this would be a good introduction to some beloved franchises for those in the Nintendo ecosystem.
I apologize if I missed it when reading. But would this still require a subscription, or no? Like will make entry to the xbox ecosystem as easy as buying a controller, loading a free app, and purchasing a game? I've long been a part of the Xbox family, but haven't used gamepass a whole lot as I've gotten busier. But playing my own games (without the console stream thing) remotely would be a welcome feature that might command more of my gaming time — currently mainly goes to NS.
No. Might do an og x on sale. But still rocking the xbone and honestly doing fine. Can stream gamepass games no issues. I haven't seen a major reason to upgrade at the current prices. Yet.
Any thought to maybe it was going to be this long term plan that continues to get updates and expansions, only to realize hey... if we put our games on other consoles, we can make more money. I wouldn't be overly surprised if the next installment is multi platform.
I haven't bought a Series console yet, as Switch is my main console. When Halo or Fable release without Xone compatibility, sure I'll look for a sale.
Because of this, when I have game pass (which I do intermittently) I have played a number of games via streaming. I enjoyed it for sure, and can see the value of it for on-the-go gaming away from your main console. If I had the latest and greatest console, I don't see use for it when gaming at home.
@Banjo- I feel like this is how they'll "Continue to support physical games." Being that next gen could be (maybe even likely?) all digital with the optional external drive to play your already existing physical library. It's going that way eventually, and I feel like we're really only a gen or gen and a half until physicals are no longer. Other than those like Limited Run that'll put out... well, a limited run.
Any word on another xbox update? I found version 0.1.0.0 or whatever (initial release) worked better than the current version with a 4 in it. It's virtually unplayable now, often crashing just after boot up and walking a short ways.
I previously enjoyed the game and hope I can again soon. Just needs some fixin'
Doesn't really matter unless they can provide this "largest technical leap" significantly before PS does. Even then, who knows how many converts you'll get anyways.

Re: Talking Point: Will You Be Buying The 2025 Xbox Handheld From ASUS?
Switch 2? Yes, I'll grab a Switch 2.
Re: Be Quick! Metro 2033 Redux Is Now Free To Claim On Xbox
Thank you! Just grabbed it. Will have to give it a try.

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Will Require A 'Continuous' Internet Connection (Yes, Even Campaign)
Renders any handheld playing much less desirable. Need to stick by a modem.

Re: Talking Point: What Convinced You To Pick Xbox In The First Place?
Halo and Fable. Halo is forever on my Xbox. They're the ones that don't get uninstalled. And hoping the next Fable is worthy of similar treatment.
Re: Palworld Patch Notes Unveiled For Xbox's Major 'Raid Boss' Update
I still can't enter a cave/dungeon without a full crash, so... Hopefully that's fixed soon.
Re: Palworld Dev 'Open' To Acquisition Offers, But Hasn't Talked To Xbox
Not sure this would be worth the current risk. Nintendo can take their time with lawsuits, as shown with how long it took with the Switch Emu that was recently settled. So I'm not convinced nothing will come of the Pokémon v Palworld potential case that looms in the background.
Re: Palworld Update Attempts To Fix Another Cloud Save Issue On Xbox
Still can't go into a cave/dungeon without the game crashing. Unfortunate.

Re: Palworld Update 0.1.5.0 Hits Xbox Very Soon, Here Are The Patch Notes
I just hope I can play for longer than a couple minutes now without it fully shutting down 🤞
