@Kaloudz And not just the premise but the execution too. The opening is so strong that I really hope the game can keep up in the later stages. So far it's delivering all right.
@themightyant That happens with every game and even more with Game Pass. Plus, in that scenario you describe those players still bought or installed the game, so my point still stands.
Thinking that Oblivion would directly hurt this game is not understanding the players. I knew this would do well. Its qualities are genuine in the sense that there are no doubtful marketing tactics, meaning no hate nor proportional opposite narrative. This game looks beautiful and feels great to play, period.
@Kaloudz These are NOT good news for every Ubisoft fan but only to fans of the listed IPs. The other IPs, just like many of the employees, have their fate tied to the rest of the company not affected by this change.
I wanted to play Gal Guardians, but it got sadly delayed on Xbox. I'm playing a bunch of shmups, Card-en-Ciel and a couple of old games on other systems.
@Ricky-Spanish Maybe the people you refer to are DA fans, you know, the people who got into the games before when you couldn't. Try to see it that way instead of just dismissing them as haters.
@abe_hikura It's not a half-step, they already adressed what you say last year "We did debate about this internally. “Maybe we should reskin the game into the current open-world type map? But after thinking about this, we would definitely have to basically remake the game from scratch, and by doing so it could alter other things about the game, and we decided that’s not the direction we really wanted to take.”
@FraserG thanks for the mention! This year I finished around 40 games (similar amount as last year coincidentally).

Finishing Metaphor ReFantazio, I'm in what I believe is the final city.
@FraserG will you do a Talking Point or similar talking about the games we finished this year? It's a topic I don't usually see on forums, aside from just picking favorites/GOTY.
I was very hyped for a long time, I even played the demo before buying it.
>"It's hands-down the best thing we've played in 2024." It really is looking to be that way for me too. The Akademia and battle theme are my favorite from the OST so far!
@PJ O'Reilly The devs have said that you cannot finish all the dungeons in one playthrough, but given how they have said the same thing with Persona games before, I want to know if that's the case or if you can indeed do everything if you plan accordingly.
>"One spike in difficulty for an early boss ruins the flow a little getting started" @PJOReilly I'm at THAT part! I agree, the jump in difficulty is real. I love this game, it has soul in every detail. Another thing I like is that the presentation and monster designs gave me Soul Sacrifice vibes.
