Oh thank Christ… I was on PC the other day going to take the A320 out for a spin, carefully spent 30-45 minutes setting up my SimBrief flight plan, got out onto runway 08R at London Gatwick, full throttle, only for the game to crash to desktop.
Safe to say, I actually raged like mad and went to bed (it was like 2-3am). But I’m glad they’ve got a fix out as quick as they could, kudos to Asobo/Microsoft. 👊
@Trotterwatch Did you also apply speedbrakes? You’ve to slow down relatively early in a large aircraft like that. I haven’t done any of the landing challenges, but if rules permit, keep the autopilot engaged along with auto thrust, and use the dial on the FCU to set speed, and the plane should take care of the rest. I highly doubt it’ll allow you to use an ILS approach.
If that don’t work, then keep going at it until you get it. the A320 is a wonderful bird to fly.
@IndoorHero You’ve to really have played the previous Flight Sim games to really be into it, to be honest. The series stretches back as far as MS-DOS days. Get yourself in the A32NX (FlyByWire mod), watch a few videos guides, and you’ll have a different opinion once you know how to play it. 😄
And here’s me downloading it just to see what it’s like in 4K 30 HDR, then realise how horrible it’ll be to control with a controller, and then go back to my PC where I can run it 45fps solid and use my Thrustmaster side stick and throttle.
