I’m really hoping for an update on Perfect Dark

I’ve been playing starfield via cloud on my surface when I want to pick up and play in a different room and it’s been pretty decent.

So glad to see this game doing well for them, definitely one of the best games I’ve played in recent years.

@EvenStephen7 no point paying for something you don’t use but I guess that’s the beauty of gamepass you can dip ins and out as and when you want.

I’m personally enjoying all the sour grapes over on push square. Now they aren’t getting the Xbox tentpole franchise they are like “well we never wanted your games anyway” after spending the last 10 days talking about how great it will be to have them on PlayStation and seem sad that Xbox isn’t dead. I don’t get their mentality at all

Deffo will pick this up at some point, not gonna be a day one purchase but I’m looking forward to playing it.

@abe_hikura absolutely! I’ve been guilty of buying into that narrative but the more I think about it the more I realise 2023 into 24 first party wise xbox is in the strongest position it’s been in since the 360 era ended, we’ve got or are getting some massive first party games and I can’t see them throwing in the towel now.

@cragis0001 there’s a lot of talk about the surface shifting to ARM, well the surface Pro. Interesting to see how it all plays out

I think it’s really unfortunate that this speculation has been allowed to reach the point it has. After the developer direct it really felt like things were turning around for Xbox, to then a few weeks later to been “This is the death of Xbox” it’s just wild.

@Feffster genuinely that's my concern. I went Xbox because of how great they've been at backwards compatibility and been able to take those games with you. I just want confirmation that whatever the plans are for the future that will still be the case

@abe_hikura this is my worry too. Sure gamepass will be available to “play anywhere” but that doesn’t help those of us who have built up a library of third party games over the years.

@theduckofdeath I didn’t mean it as flippantly as it sounded, what I mean is I’m not a fan boy who doesn’t want to share his toys, but no you are absolutely right I am concerned about where this will lead

I’m not worried about other platforms getting games and Im not worried about the death of the brand that will continue even if it is just game pass. But I am worried about the death of the hardware and that going forward the games I have purchased will be locked on an on a dead platform, primarily the third party game that I have purchased which won’t be included in game pass

I’ve always prefered Xbox as a console of choice had the OG Xbox, 360, I skipped out on the Xbox One/PS4 generation, I didn’t have a console at the switch which I got during Covid. Jumped back in on Xbox Series X and have built up a pretty substantial library but I can’t help feeling I made the wrong call, I worried my library is going to be locked away on an obsolete console.

I’ve got 3 remake in my backlog but I’ve not got around to it yet. I figured if I can’t deal with Tyrant how can I deal with Nemesis chasing me round armed to the teeth 😂

@Kaloudz I absolute love resident evil and a franchise but I still haven’t completed 2 remake yet. With Tyrant chasing you around the police station my nerves just can’t handle it

Still working my way through Alan Wake 2, I’m determined to 100% it so taking my time to explore every nuck and cranny.

I am so unbelievably excited for this game. I can’t wait to get my hands on it

Finally got around to starting Alan Wake 2. Loving it so far but I feel like a nervous wreck, got me jumping at my own shadow

@Kaloudz ahh man I loved the Buffy games, I got the first one bundled in when I bought my OG Xbox.

I’ve put about 25 hours in so far and In loving every minute of it, I really don’t understand why everyone was so down on this game.

This weekend I‘ve made a start on deathloop and also the Metroid Prime Remaster which in loving so far but trying to pace myself so I don’t compete it too quickly as I feel there will be a long wait for 2/3 remasters or prime 4 coming out.

Just finished remastered so can not wait to pick this one up. I’m betting on a Halloween release.

Over the previous two weekends I’ve played through quantum break and Control + DLC. So this week I picked up Alan Wake remastered. So far so good just wish I’d started with Alan Wake. Clearly in abit of a Remedy kick at the moment

@MrYoYoMan84 yeah I do have a switch but isn’t it just a straight N64 port? Not sure I can hack the single analog stick and the original graphics.

If Goldeneye had online multiplayer I would have been excited, it would have been one of those games I’d play a few rounds of here and there when I had some time to kill. I’m not really fussed about going back to the campaign as great as it was back in the day. A swing and a miss with this one I feel

This game looks incredible, genuinely really excited to play it. I really hope it holds up!

Like most people I’d of been much more excited about this if it had online multiplayer, I feel they really dropped the ball by letting Nintendo have that as an exclusive. The campaign was amazing back in the day but I wouldn’t say I’m a rush to revisit it

@Sebatrox I’m really excited for this game to come to GP I think it looks awesome. Hopefully it will get more love on Xbox than it did on PS

After playing through Quantum break last weekend I decided to pick up Control this weekend and so far can’t get enough of it. I’m also gradually working my way through High On Life, been a lot of exploring the world they’ve built which for me is probably the best part of the game

I played through it for the first time over the weekend and absolutely loved it. I feel this game is criminally underrated and would love to see a sequel.

@fabisputza007 Im about half way through and I get what you mean the game play can get abit repetitive but I’m so invested in the storyline I’m still loving it still.

Stared playing Quantum Break after hearing mixed things but I’m loving it so far. No idea why this game wasn’t a bugger deal

Personally I’m more likely to play an indie that’s included in gamepass than I am to pay for a game by a relatively unknown/unproven studio. Provided they are paid fairly it should be a great launchpad for indie studios

I’m really hoping Ghostwire Tokyo gets a release date for game pass
