@bertraar I thought it would be crispy clean on the steamdeck. My son recently poured water in my series s, and it's toast obviously. But my tv (a samsung, smart, maybe 3 years old) can stream xbox from the cloud. So I do that, and use a ps5 controller to play the games. And surprisingly, the stream is super cleannnnnnnnn. I was sooo surprised. I play Palworld this way too. MS has made amazing strides in terms on cloud streaming and I'm excited to c where it goes.
I believe if we want to really appreciate what devs wanted to do with it in terms of showing sonics speed and open world format, if performance is/was an issue, then It probably needs to be played on a higher performing system.
I kinda get what he is saying. and we are definitely spoiled nowadays with all of the access we have. Its cool, but it doesn't hold that same "buzz" as going to rent a game, having said game in your mind...then getting into the video store to find it, for it to only already be on rent. Then you have to step outta your comfort zone and pick something u weren't initially going to get or go with a familiar favorite. But in both cases, it was such a special experience as a kid, that i made sure to never leave empty handed. And, with it being my family paying for it, it would be a shame for me to not to get as much out of the rental as i could, so i usually could play a rented game for longer periods of time, because it had to go back eventually. good ol times. We also didn't have a blockbuster close by. We had Movie Gallery and Family Video.
I never really left xbox, but after having to sell my xbo and eventually getting a og ps4, i didnt see myself getting another until about a year ago when i couldnt get my hands ona ps5. So i "settled" and got a series s... and instantly fell in love! xbox series s+gamepass really won me over. It performs well, has a small footprint (next to my ps5 it looks like a toy) and powers on and off quickly. You can even tell google to power it on and off if ya want to. Its super dope, and ill probably get a series x and give the series s to my son.
I have a external hard drive because of the storage issue as well. But, when i install the games on the external harddrive, i kno i cant play them, but i can clear space on the series s and then transfer over to system. Doesnt take too long doing it tht way
When i got my series s controller, maybe a few days after, my right trigger button had lost almost all of its "spring" and whenever i press it it clicks down super hard.
Ive been playing spiritfarer on co-op with my 3 year old son (he controls dafodil obviously) and its been a really good, memorable time. Without gamepass would have let this slide right by me.
Unrelated to the duke controller. I recently got another controller for my series s, its the electric volt green one. The thumbsticks are green as well, and pick up alota dirt and get mad discolored. Within a week of regular use they looked horrible. So i had to put covers over them so i didnt have to look at em all dirty n what not.
@elpardo1984 but, dont we only need access to tha internet to use gamepass on the switch? I remember once upon a time accessing a web browser, thru a few screens...maybe thru the help or something...
@The_New_Butler i am the person u described. Ive got a switch, and even a ps4 pro, but i probably play tha series s the most. Gamepass is dope, and since im not buying as many games, i dnt feel bad now for getting different dlc.
Ive been having alota fun wit the game and look forward to any improvements they could make. Id like to see different modes maybe. And some different powers. Maybe some grenades to toss in tha portals 2
Im having a good time, i skipped the tutorial but need to go bck for some tips. Really pretty game though. I see tht its multiplayer, so could we potentially fly ina formation with fighter jets?
I like it but i dnt see where it fits into my lifestyle. Ive got a switch. As well and a mid/high range laptop. If i keep the ps4 pro at home as well as the series s, and stream my games there...between those 3 ecosystems there isnt anything else i want 2 play.
@orionreplay hades was/is alot of fun. Ive got it on switch...but havent finished it yet. I coulda sworn i already predownloaded the ascent a few weeks ago...that and back 4 blood.
