We all know Phil Spencer isn't one to shy away from praising smaller titles. This year has seen the head of Xbox bring attention to upcoming games such as Replaced and Shredders, and now he's highlighting two indie titles you can dive into with Xbox Game Pass this month.
The first one is Lost Words: Beyond the Page, a title coming to Xbox Game Pass on September 23, which Spencer actually expressed his love for earlier this year. In a recent tweet, Spencer once again classed it as a "very creative and unique game" saying he's "looking forward to more people getting to play" it.
Spencer also went on to praise The Artful Escape, which released with Xbox Game Pass earlier this month on September 9, calling it "one of those creative gems that make our industry and artform such a fun place".
It's great to see such a huge presence in the gaming world highlight smaller titles such as these, hopefully boosting their audiences as a result. We recently reviewed The Artful Escape and loved our time with it, so definitely give it a try!
Will you be checking out either of these titles? Let us know in the comments below.

My mate thought Artful Escape was superb so I've got it downloaded and ready to go! 😁
This is why I love Game Pass.
I would never have bought these type of games and would have missed out of some gems.
Ive been playing spiritfarer on co-op with my 3 year old son (he controls dafodil obviously) and its been a really good, memorable time. Without gamepass would have let this slide right by me.
Give us avowed phil. I just want avowed.
Artful Escape, what more can I say but WOW was that amazing.
