Halo is what got me on xbox, a console exclusive.
Although it's seems like most xbox exclusives are going to playstation now so I might finally have to make the move.
For me, it's been tug of war between GoW, Halo and Forza on xbox,
and Spiderman, God of war and Wolverine on playstation.
I understand we're not gonna be getting AAA titles for free but it doesn't have to be bottom of the barrel stuff like this. Last year or 2021 we had Gears 5 and Darksiders 3, good games that had been optimised for series x. For months now it's just been games that look about 10 years old or games for actual 10 year olds.
I played it all, and the dlc. Did everything on nightmare, eventually, although the no hope difficulty was ridiculous. It looked good and had some good ideas that could've been executed better. Not L4D but still fun for a time.
This is pretty annoying tbh. The fact that they've yet to say when xbox version will be released makes me think it's gonna be months. I've been waiting for this for years and PC get it whilst I'm still waiting... Anybody have word on the latest Vermintide 2 DLC? Trail of treachery I think it's called, PC got it November 8th, but nothing for xbox...
Honestly, it's been a slow year for xbox and an even worse year for game pass. Darktide however I've been looking forward to since its first announcement years ago, then the showcase this year got me pumped for September 13th, alas we got a pushback but only until Nov 30th. I could stomach that. However after days of scouring the Internet it turns out that's for PC only. For the first time ever, in over 5 years I'm not happy with fatshark. The new DLC for vermintide 2 has no definite release date on xbox either. Why release it on PC just to piss the rest of us off?
An awesome game and probably the best this year for game pass. Sods law I bought it on release as it was only £35. Game pass has been a bit boring this year tbh, but this is a step in the right direction.
It's been rubbish this year. Sooooo many 2D games and god damn simulators on Series X. Flight simulator I understand, but if you've got an xbox you've got a kitchen and probably a power washer so wtf are you cooking and cleaning on your xbox for when you can literally just do it in real life. Starfield and red fall were pushed back so how about some AAA games from a year ago? Not wildlands that's about 6years old (which I didn't play anyway because it came to gamepass with the online not functioning, great). I can't think of one game this year that's been awesome tbh and they're removing things like Hades! Immortals fenyx rising is pretty good but I'd already bought and played it. Have my hopes up for Darktide. How about some destiny 2 dlc back on the game pass? With light fall on the horizon. Some decent optimized games maybe? Rather than 10year old crap. I'm not buying game pass again until they've sorted it out. This is not why I bought a Series X.
Very useful, I've been using it for a couple of years now. When you get to a certain 'week streak' it only gives you 2500points every 10 weeks. I'm at a 91 week streak now and some bonus points at 75weeks or 100weeks would be a good idea to reward loyalty. Also, I think there should be a small discount on bigger vouchers, e.g. a £10 voucher costs the same as two £5 vouchers.
Honestly I can't stand game pass atm. The amount of 2D metroidvania style games and simulators this year is mind blowing when we're on Series X now. Why did I buy one when it's just the same? Quick resume is about the only decent feature atm. We've still not seen anything properly utilise the Series Xs power. They say AAA games aren't released through the summer. So put some AAA games on from last year instead? Darktide and Scorn, all I'm looking forward to this year.
Wildlands is the only half decent game mentioned and I already own it lol. INSIDE was added recently and I got that through games with gold of all things. GP is not impressing me recently.
Pretty sure 'what remains of Edith finch' is already on game pass? They've just added INSIDE, which was on games with gold. Another few things that have been added for a second time. Not happy with game pass this year.
This should be on game pass! Farcry 5 and AC Origins have probably been the best additions to ge pass all year and those games are years old. Playstation is stealing the show recently. Not happy with Xbox.
Anything optimized being as I'm on Series X and still getting 360 games. Not happy with Xbox recently, game pass has also been very dry with plenty of 2D games, on series X, two years after release.
Once I've had a chance to play things on game pass, some I'll buy when they leave because the game pass gave me a taste lol. However I'm not happy with game pass so far this year tbh. Rainbow six extraction, and the up and coming Sniper elite 5 and AC origins are the only decent games so far this year, and we're pretty much half way through 2022. Plenty of 2D games and pixelated metroidvania but why when I'm on Series X? For the first time in a long time I'm not resubscribing until they sort it out.
Imo not one decent game so far this year and we're on month 5. Last year at least we had a few decent ones like darksiders 3 and gears 5. In the past we've had FOR Honour, AC black flag and Hitman. Recently however its all kids games and 2d platformers, something the games pass is all about at the minute as well. I'm on series X and the amount of pixelated 16bit games coming out is frustrating. Just swap games with gold for some free reward points.

@FreqMode We've had two games in over a month, slowest it's been for a while.

Re: Talking Point: What September 2022 Xbox Games With Gold Do You Want?
We had gears 5, and darksiders 3 last year. Nothing on that level so far this year so maybe it's time?

The fact that we're half way through the year, and this has been the best on gamepass so far is pretty shocking imo, game pass drying up...

If they keep going with old games at least make them A-class. Maybe give us a choice between the games and a few thousand reward points?
