@CallMeDuraSouka The only handheld i've ever seen come with a case is the steam deck. I don't think that's a big deal, but that's just my opinion.

@RiverGenie The main problem people had with it outside of the stupid character motivations, was that it didn' treally follow dragon age. It did it's own thing. Another complaint that the characters are all written to have literally no conflict which is boring. I'm going to give it a shot to make my own decision, but it wasn't just the woke stuff.

@Coletrain No one is saying that. And please God no more PC launchers. why would they do that, it would be a terrible strategy. PC gamers already boycott games just becuase they need a playstation account

People are forgetting that the real win here is the OS. If more systems get access to this scaled down windows xbox OS then it will be a game changer. I could just dual boot my steam deck again, or use this in place of Steam OS since it' won't be locked down to only approved games on steam.

@GuyinPA75 What the F? anime style games. LIke i can't even name one you are talking about. Final Fantasy coming to xbox is awesome, otherwise what the F are you talking about?

@EdgarTheBug Supposedly they are working on a new Windows handheld version. Hopefully it's available for other systems because i'll just dual boot my steam deck again. Windows on these handhelds sucks, but a version dedicated to hand helds would be a game changer.

@PsBoxSwitchOwner It's a remaster of a classic game. None of what you said makes any sense. Outside of some poor performance 30 fps on Series S it's pretty awesome overall. If they can improve perofrmance a bit and add in some tweaks over time then it's great.

If this better UI happens, as it should, i'll just dual boot my steam deck again. I'll probably wait until an "official" xbox handheld comes out in a few years.

IDK. i thought doom eternal was a step down from 2016. The gameplay loop where you stop in arenas that are blocked off by invisible walls seems like some Playstation one nonsense. Doom Eternal was good but nothing like the reboot. Looking forward to this. not sure what people thougth would be "next." looks awesome.

@IOI This. i have no idea why they didn't just go with XBOX and keep iterating on it over the years like phones. I know consumers like the 1,2,3,4 but if it's more like a PC and super backwards compatible then keep it simple.

These comments are wild man. People not being interested in Doom or thinking south of midnight disapointed? That game looked incredible in the reveal. OH well hopefully the hidden game is a cool surprise.

OK, so the reveals were fine. Nothing astronomical, but as an awards show this was absolute trash.

Any game can be 60fps if they want but it can only push 1/2 of the assetts. It's basic game development which none of you seem to understand.

@GamingFan4Lyf I mean... how? Tango has only done evil within and tokyo ghostwhire which are all super meh. Hi Fi Rush was great but only done by a small part of the team. Of all of these Tango can go. So can Arkane Austin as redfall was abysmally ran from start to finish.

@GuyinPA75 I mean at this point it would easily be a bit more than the current series S. Even if the put out a 1080P 7+ inch screen that is a mini series S in a portable it would be awesome. If it's for next gen, then i'm just worried that the power would make it cost stuipd money and i'm not buying a $600 handheld.

@dskatter as an old school SEGA fanboy i was so excited at that announcement. It has all the visual flair of Nights but just crashed on it's face so hard.

I'd rather Xbox go with a dedicated gamepass handheld that can download games locally on storage. i mean the series S specs should be easliy feasible on a handheld device now. Make a sweet 1080P with xbox controls and i would buy that so quick. more power is not the draw right now. PS fanboys will sing praises about frame rates but the ps5 pro won't have the big of an install base in reality.

If you didn't enjoy the first game, or didn't even play it, why are you commenting. No one cares that you didn't like it. I'm stoked for this game since i loved the first one, but why do you think every game has to be for you, or a call of duty action game. FFS how old are the people commenting here?

@ShadowofTwilight I mean we can all have our opinions man but saying sony's leadership isn't as "cringe" i mean wtf? I don't think jim ryan has played a video game in his entire life. Sony spends all its time trying to squeeze all of the money out of its fanbase with endless remasters and no new IP's on the horizon. No one is perfect but Phil and the team have done a pretty solid job IMO.

@EvilSilentFrame Yes it's sad all around. But we can't just ignore how the comment section of the MS announcement was so very different than this one. All sadness and empathy vs anger and negativity. Really is telling about how, even on an xbox fan site, the companies are viewed.

Unlike all the angry internet people, i think this trailer is incredible and really shows the tone (british humor.... humour if you will). I'm stoked for it.

@Tecinthehead Who cares? what is a "pro" version of either of these consoles going to get? Games play the same even though the series X is the most powerful. It's only a talking point when it's Playstation like the PS4 to Xbox One. When xbox is most powerful it's just has to be that way becasuse they are in 3rd place. so lame.

@PsBoxSwitchOwner idk, saying they have no need is a bit much. I think adding them into another ecosystem with 50+ million more potential buyers is a big deal.

@Luca91 This is what they need. They started it back in the day but they should really develop a mobile friendly version of windows that works great on these handheld devices, even if they don't make their own hardware.

Dang, how are people this upset over this? The my games and apps button is at the top of the screen in the new quick access icons. It's literally just one click up on the controller. It's a lot better than the old system. Everything is there on one screen and you can then scroll down to the other crap if you want.

@InterceptorAlpha how old are you man? You are such a pony in an Xbox website. Never held a ps5 controller? I platinumed ghost of Tsushima which is one of the best games ever. You lost me thinking you can keep up with mouse and keyboard using gyro. What in the hell? No self respecting shooter player uses gyro for aiming. But cool I’ll let you go. @InterceptorAlpha thanks for proving my point. You outlined a bunch of cross gen games that already came out. Speaking of blindly defending a corporation. I have all the systems but the ps5 is gathering dust because nothing has come out (besides the aforementioned FF16) to be excited about.

And really? Ps5 copied the Xbox shape for their new controller and you can keep the haptics and gyro gimmicks. Does anyone even like that crap? What games even use motion controls well?

@Dan1283 that’s the problem. PlayStation was killing it with exclusives but they have nothing coming besides Spider-Man. Wolverine is so far away. What else is there. Meanwhile Xbox has outlined so many games coming through 2024.
