I can confirm, had to go to the app to find the version that let me install the new updated game for Series X (maybe just do a search in the store on console to find it there?). I previously only owned the Xbox 360 digital version.
@Kezelpaso Strange. My version was still showing up as Xbox One and I'm certain, I played it on my Series X in the last four years. Only since yesterday does it show up differently.
I wish they'd let you choose. SSD space is extremely limited and sometimes I'd prefer to install and play the Xbox One version from a normal external HDD.
Hopefully they finally fix, after many years of me complaining about it, how many games in the the recently played section are shown (before reverting to alphabetical). It got a sudden bump of a couple of games, but that arbitrary number of 54 games is maybe soon (PLEASE!) a thing of the past.
Played the demo and that convinced me, that even though the now have real time combat (which I highly prefer), there's just too litte RP in this G for me to really enjoy. It's just endless cut-scenes and endless boss fights. No thanks.
I get it, it's Bond so the game (and the Trailer) needs action. I'm not seeing enough Hitman influences yet, but I'm still cautiously optimistic since I trust IOI as developer. Need so see some actual gameplay and hope it's closer to their previous games.
Also not a fan of Bonds face, way too generic and boring. But hey, if they "only" make a competent Bond game, that's enough for me, I liked many of the previous 3D outings.
I just wish we could go back the Goldeneye N64 mission structures and let the player do some actual figuring out. James Bond in the movies/books isn't shooting like a madman, so the cover shooter type of gameplay has always been the totally wrong move imho.
You have to remember, the 2TB started at $499, which was even more insane. I bought it on sale (maybe two years after release) for 300, which was my absolute limit. The latest sale a couple of weeks ago was just above 200 (of course I was a little angry).
I really really want the 4TB but would only consider buying, if they had some sort of trade-in. Paying over $800 for 6TB is completely nuts, no matter how you look at it.
I'm not sure if just having "players" is such a great success. Most of the achievements are still rare, despite the game being only about 20 hours in length. What good is a player base that only peeked into the game and bounced off immediately?
To be clear, I very much (still) enjoy the game and gave it a nine. Not sure I need DLC, though. But keep similar games coming!
I have to say, many of the things you have to do in this game, are right up my ally. It has elements of Bioshock and immersive sims (System Shock 1), you have to do a lot of exploring and many encounters are either optional (avoid or run away) or you can be a bit creative in how to beat the opponents, which I always like.
Hmm, so it's not so much an Xbox handheld, but a Windows handheld for PlayAnywhere titles. If this was an actual device to play native Xbox games on the go, it would be MUCH more interesting to me.
Anything this can do, the other devices can (mostly) do as well.
Came here to mention the same thing. Thankfully, all of the new Ubisoft patches so far have been XboxGen9Aware rather than full blown "Smart Delivery" releases (I still strongly maintain that the user should be able to choose which version they want to play, Series S|X memory is so gosh darn limited even with the biggest expansion card).
Being able to play these releases from a regular SSD is the best of both worlds and I wish more publishers would go this route.
Why are there even games coming out in 2025? Even if there wasn't a single release, I still wouldn't be able to catch up on all the games I already own...
This event should really be called "The Trailer Show with a couple of awards handed out inbetween and LOTS and LOTS of ads". Hard to get excited over a couple of announcement trailers.
The only thing that looked really fresh is Split Friction.
I've been grabbing and re-selling all the My Horse & Me 2's I could find over the last couple of years (owning two atm). It's crazy to me that people keep buying this game at a premium.
As someone who buys every system eventually, I'm having a hard time stomaching the 500€ fot the regular PS5, let alone 800€. I've bought a regular PS4 for 200€ near the end of it's cycle and could enjoy all the exclusives for very, very cheap.
Yes, I've paid 500€ for the Series X, but that was a worthwhile purchase for Quick Resume alone. I'm not prepared to pay more than 300€ (250€ would be even better) sometime in the future for the PS5 ultraslim.
There are an incredible amount of Pokemon clones out there. The ONLY one Nintendo intents to sue, happens to be the most successful.
I'm trying to think of the reasons here. Because it can't be money, they are swimming in it. Maybe it's just to please the outcries of the fans so they can say "look, we did something".
Yeah, no. While the music is timeless, the gameplay is most certainly not. Of the included games, only IK+ in three player mode could maybe still be enjoyable today (for a couple of minutes).
Back in the day, the graphics on the C64 of the Last Ninja games were outstanding to be sure. I love watching someone else play it.
Is it crashing as often for anyone else? I've placed my Series X differently, because Kena kept crashing. That made it marginally better, but Atlas keeps crashing in very active scenes.
I'm trying to figure out if it's my console (position, heat paste, something else?) or the games.
Bought Wizardry and was excited to try it, but man, it's absolutely, 100% not for me... I don't know what I was expecting, but all you do ist walk a few steps, fight and then die. I detest round based combat (and random encounters) anyways, but I thought the modern enhancement could soften the blow. They don't.

@Nightcrawler71 And that's the answer to your question. You HAVE to own it digitally to get the free upgrade.

I own(ed) three of them. Only bought Marvel Puzzle Quest a couple of weeks ago. Sucks a** that I can't play my paid for content anymore.

Look, not the weakest system is what limits a game during development. You can ALWAYS downscale something to make it run on a weaker system.
Also, GTA V was on Xbox 360 (which is still a miracle to me, how well it ran on 2004 hardware).
