
We've just seen the latest update drop for Halo: The Master Chief Collection across all available platforms - although the focus is mainly on a Microsoft Store PC fix.
Halo Studios has detailed exactly what's packed into this patch, along with the update sizes for each platform, and we've included those notes down below. Be warned, if you're using the Microsoft Store PC version (including via Game Pass), you're in for a big old download.

Resolved Issues
The following change was made in the September 17, 2025, patch:
- An issue impacting cross-platform matchmaking has been addressed for the Xbox PC and Microsoft Store app versions of Halo: The Master Chief Collection (MCC). Players who have installed MCC through either of these storefronts may now experience faster matchmaking searches.
- Although this update addresses an issue affecting the Xbox PC and Microsoft Store versions of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, a download is also required on both Xbox consoles and Steam.
