Thinking this is further evidence showing that games don't sell well on Xbox outside of gamepass, which is great value for gamers, and less so for 3rd party publishers. Publishers then have no choice but to participate in game pass.

One of my most favorite PS4 games. I loved it so much, I upgraded it to PS5 version. Highly recommend it.

5 billion is crazy, but how much profit did Microsoft make after expenses? Paying 3rd parties to put games on game pass and developing 1st party games to be on game pass on day one must be expensive.

Is the 5 billion revenue taking into consideration expenses for paying to 3rd party publishers and the budget for making 1st party games? What is the actual profit after all those expenses?

I am on the other side as I hated the GW versions. The old school tower defense grid one was so good. I played it on Vita to death. Looking forward to this one

They talk about $80 prices so you feel like you are getting a deal at $70. This is a trick to accept $70 games as the new normal.

Not on game pass. It will be interesting to see how well it does. I still think that game pass is great for gamers, but terrible for the industry.

Some of Microsoft exclusive games like Forza are selling like hotcakes on PS5, so this being an older game is not a valid excuse. I think most Xbox players have been conditioned not to purchase outside of what is offered on game pass.

This game is known for putting the Watch Dogs franchise in a coffin. Too bad because I really liked the first 2 games.

I played this on PS5. Your main mission is to deliver packages. Beautiful graphics. Sounds boring, but I found it super addictive. Very fun game. It will be interesting to see if this sells on Xbox in light of people sticking largely to game pass not doing many purchases outside of it.

Times must be tough when purexbox is quoting random players and not the actual critics.

They probably will lose money on it by releasing it day one on game pass. Maybe Microsoft needs to release it on PS5 to make a profit on it. I tried game pass, but I find that if I patiently wait a year or two, I can get the game on an Xbox or PS really dirt cheap. I realize that digital purchases can disappear at some point, but I prefer that option of owning over renting on game pass or on PS Plus. I know that first party games stay on forever but hate how third party games come and go on these services. It sometimes takes months or years for me to finally play a game that I purchased, but that's me.

This game is already discounted on PS store on sale. Does that mean that it did not do as well? Sea of Thieves seems to be a huge seller on PS5.

Microsoft has some amazing games. I do think that the game pass is a fantastic deal for gamers but terrible for developers including Microsoft. Game pass can't grow with membership indefinitely. I said that from day one. In addition to reaching the maximum membership, the existing game pass members now have a tendency to wait for a game to show up some day on game pass and are unlikely to purchase games. I own all 3 consoles and each console has its positives and negatives. On Switch, I end up buying more 1st party games for premium price than I do on PS or Xbox because I know that there is no PS Plus or game pass equivalent.

I work in a job that is hybrid partially in the office and at home. Used to to be an office only before Covid. It is true that some people thrive at home. But that is a small percentage. There also people who “produce” at home but when you actually look at the details of their work , it looks poor and hastily put together. They are probably too busy doing other things than actual work. But if they are asked to come back to the office, they tell you how “productive“ they are.

That's because Switch and PS owners will actually buy the game while Xbox owners will just rent this on game pass.
